Just a very early reminder LoD is hosting another Concorso in April for all car enthusiasts. I missed last fall's so I don't know what they unveiled there, but according to LoD, "A very special new Lamborghini will be unveiled at this event." I'm guessing the LP640 Roadster (LoD just sold one. ), but hoping it's the Superleggera. But anyways, I hope to catch some of you guys there rippin' up the track. I haven't been so if there's something I should know, feel free to tell a first timer. Regards, Rick.
Rick, I plan on attending unless something comes up. I want to track my 328 for the first time. Anyone else going??
I will be there; track day will be basically the same as last year. Run groups will be set up per the partticipants needs and experience level

I'm a bit more surprised there's not more Ferrari owners here responding unless they're waiting until mid April to prepare. On a little other note, I think the "special Lamborghini" will be the new Gallardo as Dallas is now taking orders on them.
Another bump here, registration is open at www.texasconcorso.com and we expect a sellout given the time of year. There is instruction available to novices, but given the spectrum of participants we expect, novice room will be limited. I urge those interested to sign up promptly to avoid disappointments. Please don't be bashful - this is not a Lamborghini-only event and we welcome all enthusiasts! We need non-lamobs for overtaking practice ;-) We will be running the very safe 1.7 mile road course, with limited numbers in run groups to minimize traffic and let you enjoy your car at speed. Should you make a mistake and get agricultrual, MSR is probably the safest track in the country, with very few obstacles and no guardrails or trees to contend with.
We went last year - it was great. Unfortunately this year it's the same day as the ALMS race in Houston (Champ cars run Sunday). Sorry, but won't be able to make it this year. Carol
Well this is just 2 weeks away and starting to fill up. Lamborghini Dallas now informs me that the following extras have ben conjured up: Premier Financial Services will be serving breakfast Lambo Dallas will serve lunch Personal Edge (Baylor Hospital) will be giving away a few body scans Skins Wraps will have decals for cars. deBoulle will be displaying diamonds and watches. Some Driving Academy will be there, A Concorso, show off your car. After this miserable weekend and the fact that PCA has MSR rented next weekend, I will be more anxious than ever to actually enjoy some spring weather at MSR. So sign up soon and sign up often, all makes are welcome. www.texasconcorso.com
Keith, Why are they only running the 1.7? I'll be out there the previous weekend running the full 3.1 with PCA. For those of us that are advanced drivers, the new section is a lot more fun and a good factor for wanting to come out. How about opening it up for the advanced groups?
The cost to run the 3.1 would double (or run group size would double) and we expect to have many farily novice drivers. The 1.7 is just that much safer and the spectator opportunities are also a bit easier.
PS, those who are very experienced can probably hook up as guests to run the 1.3 ALSO. Contact me privately about that if you are advanced and we will see what we can do. But please only as an ALSO, not an INSTEAD - we will be super busy that day and I don't need to compete against myself, although we will bend over backward for participants.
I had a lot of fun there last year. Got to see some amazing cars and meet old and new friends. Also the driving event allows you to introduce yourself to performance driving if you are thinking about it "someday". Take the plunge.
Ahh yes the mystery van. I'm going to bring a paint brush and bucket of paint. We can do the Tom Sawyer bit and whitewash it
I'm signed up. I re-welded the turbo manifold on the R. I can't wait till I build a whole new one from scratch.
We've got one week left. The excitement is just rising! I am betting it's the Superleggera, but either way, we'll all have a good time. See ya'll there.
