    ok...well...

My car was on ebay making momentum up to a bidder (with 40 minutes left) called me and said:

"I play games with Mileage and am a caniver. I May ask you to put a low mileage on the paperwork for me so i can roll it back. Ill bid in a minute"

I could have sold the car for Much more.. but I banned him from bidding.

I just couldnt sell him the car, what ******. Someone got a swingin deal.

I know he visits this forum, and I hope you see this. Id rather sell the car honestly to someone else and talke a hit, than sell it to you, the more I think about it. Not to mention what you asked me to do is a felony... Thanks but no thanks.

Just the thought of one of you buying this car from him unknowingly if he flipped it makes me sick.

    Dave

    THANKS ALOT MAMBODAVE!!!

It really takes a lot to not be lured by money. You could have easily taken the $ and not mentioned it. Really a stand up thing to do.

    Thanks again,

Thanks for the compliments.. I was really just venting... so no need.

I think we all have to stick together to uphold the values of these classic cars.

Im a little disapointed it didnt happen earlier though, as it lost some momentum and i had to make a split second decsion on it.
Upside is the winner is a really nice guy and hes super excited as its his first ferrari. He didnt expect to win it and was actually shocked he got it.

What this "conniver" is forgetting is that the "Ferrari" circle/world is very small. Ever more so with the internet.

When a car changes hands, chances are, we'll know the car, the seller, the buyer, & the price. If a car's been toyed with, eventually someone out there will point and say: "Hey...I know that car..."

Though I am a recent addition to this forum, I have placed a lot of trust in the information found here. I'm additionally pleased to see that kind of integrity displayed. You stood up for all the honest participants and I applaud you as well.

Its easy to be a bad person.

Having a strong set of values and ethics and sticking to them is tough. You often get tested.

You passed and you're a better person for it.

Sleep well tonight knowing that you're one of the good guys and you'll see your reward.

Remember what you did made it 10 times more likely that I, or someone else here, will buy a car or do business with you in the future.

I tip my hat in respect to you Sir.

I bet ALOT. He told me that he looks at the car fax, and stops it from moving up from the last record. If there is a gap (the odo being alot more thn the car fax) he rolls it back. No way to tell.......

If this guy is doing this on a regular basis, he deserves to be outed. Maybe post it in the subscribed section if you don't want to broadcast it to the world. Just a little warning about dealing with [so and so].

I was going to say to contact his local FBI branch. They would undoubtedly place a red-flag onto all of his car sales.

I reported him to Ebay, so they are suspending his account (or so they said) since he trieed to buy teh car from me outside of the auction.

FBI wont do anything if he hasnt already done it. They wont do anything "Before" the crime occurs.
