I just received the window sticker for my 1978 GT4 and was surprised to see it was a small 6"x6" Chinetti Garwaite window sticker listing the delivery dealer, serial number and price one option S/R listed. I was wondering when the window stickers went to a the standard we see today. I see that the window sticker John Feeney posted for his 1979 GT4 is the larger more familar format with features, options and MPG listing.

Was 1979 the first year for this window sticker format?

    Thanks in advance

    Andrew

Pardon my ignorance, but how did you JUST receive a window sticker for a 1978 car? Does Ferrari offer a "replica" of the original?

The car was shipped up the sticker came in a fedex envelope from the dealer.

Anyone know the answer to this question?

    TIA

The window sticker I have has the price,s/n, stamp from delivery dealer, options, no colors listed and is on Chinetti-Galwarith(sp) 6"x6" stationary. It probably met all of the requirements at the time I was just curious when Ferrari/Fiat standard dot matrix paper printed window stickers were used. Starting in 1979? Anyone have a 1978 or window sticker they can post? This is just a curiousity. My sticker has a separate dealer added sticker listing prep $, am/fm cassette $ and a grand total of $36k

Some dedicated F-car person needs to make an online site where we can make replica window stickers. I know there are sites for this type of thing for Corvettes (I made one for my '69.)

I'd love to have one for my '86 328 GTS!

I am wondering if the traditional looking window stickers on Ferrari's was a mid 78 model year change? My small 6"x6" sticker sure looks official with the stationary and the dealer stamps it just does not list all of the standard features. Anyone else have a smaller window sticker? I know this will not make the car run any better nor will it help me with my parallel parking or crabgrass problems. I am just curious to know how these cars appeared on the showroom floors.

    TIA

Find someone with a 1977...and see if its similar to yours, or if you have some "other" window sticker (perhaps printed locally by the dealer?)

I use to program forms in HP laser printer PCL. I've been meaning to set up an original window sticker in PCL for quite some time but tossed my HP PCL "Bible" a couple years ago when I left that phase of my job behind. Dang! Let me get off my duff & get it done. I can't go driving for a while anyway :( Stay tuned. I have a 1983 308 to work off of. I'm sure there are other variants and I may ask for samples to simulate.
