Okay this Lewis kid is really putting on a VERY impressive debut. I am glad to see Felipe on the pole again. Let's just hope he doesn't goof up the start like the last race. So far this season is really turning out to be exciting.
I predict that Massa will take out Alonso, this will be a double benefit for Ferrari as Kimi will get a little cushion and Hamilton will move ahead of Alonso, confusing Mclaren. Hopefully Massa doesn't screw it up.
Rumor mill has it that Ralf is going to have to take a large pay cut in order to stay on for next season. Just a rumor.
It's probably true. He's being paid like US$25,000,000 a year. Trulli is being paid less than half that, put putting on a slightly better performance. There's probably a reason why Trulli's contract has been secured through 2010. They need to cut Ralf's pay by two thirds, if they keep him.
ralfie is a classic token, only there because Mikey the cheater is his bro'. but he did great getting so overpaid for so long, that's his true success in life
GAH! my DVR didn't record qualifying oh well. Hopefully Massa will stand his ground in the first turn tomorrow.
another one who like to count his chicken before they hatch. Where will you be if he stuffs the first corner up again? If, but's and maybes are just that. As the saying goes...... when the flag drops (or in this case when the lights go out)..... Alonso and Raikkonen are heavy............
"...the guys that were in here last week slamming Massa". don't worry we're all right here and we'll keep telling it like it is, whether y'all like it or not.
Obviously, T1 is critical, but I think even more so for Massa. He does great when out in front, but if he's severely challenged or not first, he tends to make mistakes. Kimi, FA, and LH are the best on track passers at the moment. Should be a great race. If Hamilton wins T1, I think he will have his first GP win in only his 3rd race. Alonso's got to be worried. Youth has been served! Go Kimi!
Slightly off-topic... but I wore my colors out today to support my team and my buddies thought I was the Pizza Hut delivery guy. Anyway, let's hope Massa stays in first with that pole position... not like in Malaysia. Go Ferrari!!!
The thing is that I will say it before the race. Some of you wait for the results. Kinda like sitting in the bush isnt it? Wish I could buy my lottery tickets the day after the draw.
agreed.... i don't rate Massa, never have.... and will continue to "slam" him.... even if he does fluke his way to a win tonight.
while some may fit into that category, myself, and several others,we've never hid behind any 'bushes'...myself, i've always been upfront about my opinions...to me Massa is/has been a 'best case scenario' driver...meaning, if everything that can go in his favor does in fact go well, then he'll do well. that's been my opinion of him throughout his career, and especially last year, when he had a top car and still failed to exploit the machine to its fullest. i still cheer, and hope with each race, that he does what is expected in that machine. my attitude has always been one to support a driver if he is absolutely the measure of his car--consistently getting everything out of what the car is capable of. if he isn't (that goes for ANY driver), then i will express my opinion that he needs to give up that seat to someone else that will/can. i have always said that i will cheer my butt off for the red cars, but that doesn't mean i'll do it with blind affection. every fan should be able to cheer and be critical at the same time. if at times, it calls for harshness in criticism, then i will give it as such. i'm not the kind of supporter who will make excuses for a driver when he stinks it up--underperforms, etc, just because he drives for 'my' team. no need to candy-coat things. likewise, credit should be given when credit is due. if not win, i expect Massa to at least make the podium. given the capabilities of his car.
Although I'm not a McMerc fan, I'd love to see Hamilton win later today. I like seeing history being made.
Well, I can't slam the guy for something he hasn't done yet. Massa is your typical test driver: Fast qualifier and can win when in front and no traffic or rain. So today he has a chance to actually win it. However a certain Hamilton might get in the way. We'll see. Bottom line is: It doesn't matter to me where Massa and Hamilton end up. The championship is between Kimi and Alonso. As long as Kimi finishes in front of Alonso I'm a happy camper.
A bit more than halfway through the race right now and wow... there may be a chance of a 1 and 2 podium for Ferrari! Massa's pretty far up ahead and Kimi's right on Hamilton's tail. C'mon... let's get that 1 and 2 spot!!! Go Kimi!
