I think he can use the paper weights too.

There paper might be a little heavier but they should hold with no problem. :p Yes??:D

And i think he will get taxed too i think.:(

Verell, Just paid via PayPal for the paper weights & shock bushings. I have ordered a set of QA-1's & Eibach ERS springs for my 1985 308GTS QV. Hopefully, these parts can all arrive in time for our summer track days.

In case you're not in yet, remember, the group buy ends midnite PST Friday, 30-MARCH.

BTW, someone mentioned they were going to screw something into their paperweights. I replied that if it's going to move I sure advise them to use RED LOCTITE on the threads. ;^)

Was reviewing the orders, & amazingly, everyone's ordering 2 paperweights. Guess it must be 1 for the FPC & 1 for the WSM.

Or is it for bills & receipts???

BTW, if you screw a paperweight onto something, be sure to use red loctite on the threads, & jam a nut up against it, wouldn't want it to fall off & bang up a pinkie or something...

Just spoke with the machine shop. The schedule is tentatively:
Thursday/Friday: Setup the CNC lathe & make 2 pilot units, the fedex them to me overnight.
Saturday & Sunday: I receive the units & evaluate them. (I have a BIG pile of paper & a windy garage...) Will also thread some kind of a shaft into them to check out the threads....
Will eMAIL any necessary changes, so production should start Monday...

I expect it will take about 1.5 weeks for machining & shipping, so they should be here the week after production starts.

I'll need a weekend to press the polyurethane eyes in, and most likely a 2nd one to pack & ship your orders...

If there's a problem & the pilots don't get delivered to me Saturday, most likely things will be delayed by a week.

Yes, I did order a few extras in case anyone discovers their paper piles are is getting out of control since the group buy closes.

Now that our paperweights are about to become available...
I would like to know what the concensus is on "accessory" items to attach to our paperweights.... jeez.

Here is the deal. What is the consensus on QA1 shock stock numbers for use with the "paperweights" as well as the non-paperweight rears (I would like to go dual adjustable), and what about spring length front (paperweight) and rear, as well as rate for street/track use (I am leaning toward Eibach rather than QA1 springs). I could search and guess spring length based on all of the posts, but I have hopes that maybe we can resolve all issues here and put together a list of part #'s for a set up that is workable. I hope to lower the 85 QV 1" rear,1 3/4" front and increase the spring rate and damping ability for tracking, while still maintaining a "fairly" comfortable street ride.

Everyone, please comment and lets work this out, please.

Yes, I am to blame, sorry, Verell.
I understand that these "paperweights" are only intended for benchtop use.
    My bad.

The machining is going slower than I expected. Looks like they'll ship to me sometime next week. Not sure if they'll get here for me to press the eyes in. Will call Monday AM & get a better estimate.

Just spoke with the shop's mfg mgr. They should be ready to ship tomorrow afternoon. There's a slim chance they'll get here Saturday, in which case I'll assemble & ship as many as I can Sunday. Most likely will arrive early next week & I'll assemble & pack them the weekend of 5&6 May & ship early the following week.

Well, obviously I should be spending less time working and more time on the internet...It seems that I have missed a chance to buy a limited edition Stainless Steel set (individually numbered I assume?) of non-stock ferrari aftermarket suspension 1:1 scale replica paper weights!?
If an extra set comes off of the lathe, I will take them, BUT ONLY if you powder coat them red and put a prancing horse on them.
If not- I have enough info to have my trusty machinist wack some off in Aluminum (it's not very windy around here)

I don't know if you are kidding or not, but there are actually a few important things that you do not know from this and the previous thread. Beware of just knocking some off. I'm not saying this just to get Verell another sale.

    YES,
I have a few more sets, figured there'd be late-comers.

Will honor this price until they run out.

See ordering instructions earlier in this thread.

Spoke to my machine shop Thurs. AM, they had a mill setup problem, had to remake a few & were running a bit slow, but expected them to ship to me that afternoon.

Should be here sometime next week, if so, will pack them up the following weekend.

As it turns out, I wouldn't have been able to pack them up, this weekend.

I have been doing emergency shopping for a replacement for my daily driver '91 Olds battlecruiser. It's automatic tranny apparently developed a leak & the bands self-destructed before I realized there was a problem!!! I barely made it home Thursday night by using 1st gear!!! After taking a good assessment of the car, decided it just wasn't worth repairing.

This is a crisis as it's my only salt season & rainy weather transportation.

I want a replacement wagon(Hate SUVs, & a truck is over-kill) as I use it to tow a 2,000lb camper & lighter boat trailer. Also need cargo capacity for home-owner purchases, & to could haul 3 people + ski gear during salt season.

Spent all day car shopping, both on the internet & driving around all afternoon to ckout the most promising leads.

So far the best bet looks like a Dodge Magnum R/T with the variable displacement HEMI. Drove one today, it's a fairly impressive car, except that the suspension is too soft. However, I understand that the new Charger uses the same platform & has a performance suspension package that might just bolt on...
