that reminds me, palmer did you get a ride last time? or at least sit in one? I want to have another *huge* indy gathering before the summer but I know I won't make Bill's May 5 event because of exams. just a thought, a few people have said Sundays work better than Saturdays. Maybe on the 21st could be the drive to Louisville and then on the 22nd there could be a gigantic local indy gathering. could you do both Rick?
Sure, I can do both days. We can follow the same format as last week - an optional lunch, then a drive in the early afternoon. I'd like someone else to step up and plan the drive. I'm in a rut when it comes to the north side of town. Plus, it's more fun to be futher back in the pack.
I am scheduled to work on the 21st. I could switch it to the 22nd, but if you guys are going to have a big meet the 22nd that would be ideal. I'm drooling thinking of seeing the cars. I can probably talk my dad into bringing his NSX down.
yes we're having one on both days, 21st will be a longer drive, 22nd will be local. yeah get your dad to bring the NSX, that'd be awesome
Let's plan on leaving The Summitt Shopping Center http://www.thesummitonline.com/louisville/index.html at 10 am for the drive. I will probably get there by 9 am. Steve has a nice route that we can use that is new. After the morning drive we can stop for lunch and maybe we could use one of the routes from last year for the afternoon drive if we have enough people that are interested. How many cars do we think we have right now?? Adam is your car going to be ready? Matt
Now I know what my wife is talking about w/ the significance of RSVP's - shmc930 - Porsche indaville - Ferrari/Lotus? silvergts1998 - Chrysler Caravan / Hertz yasir - Porsche cessnav8or - Ferrari Doug - Porsche doltmo - Lamborghini Gershwin - Ferrari DC33 "Dan" - - Acura/Lamborghini? KGLotusElise - Lotus Earlycat? please add your name or PM me if your not on the list!
I'll be working in a detail in New Albany on the 21st - any chance I'll get to see you guys cruise past? Too bad I won't get to participate - the only driving I'll probably be doing to taking some genuis to jail...
what about the next day? We're having a more local Indianapolis cruise on the 22nd. details here http://www.midwestscc.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=56
I live in EVV - Indy is too far sometimes. Plus by that Sunday I will have worked Little 5 in Bloomington on the previous Friday and then Thunder in Louisville (New Albany) on that Saturday. Sunday going to be my nap time...
LOL!!!! The event is going to be in the CJ this Friday so maybe we will have some cars show up like last year. The only thing we need to nail down is where we are having lunch. We could go to Wick's on Goose Creek again. They are never that busy for lunch and you can see the cars easily from inside. Matt
Ill be there. It will either be my dad and I in his Civic Si or if Rick has the right seat empty in the Gallardo.
Here's the schedule for the Indy folks that want to caravan down as a group on Saturday. Those on the northeast side of town can gather at the strip mall on the SW corner of 96th and Allisonville Rd. I will be there shortly after 7am. We will depart at 7:30am SHARP! There's an Einstein Bagels there. The Shell gas station diagonally across the street is closed for renovations - so fill up before you get there. Everyone else can join up with the group on the south side of Indy at the Steak 'n Shake at I-65 and Southport Rd. It's on the SW corner of the interchange (turn in at the light at McFarland Blvd off of Southport Rd) We will arrive there around 8:00 am and depart shortly thereafter. This should put us in the Summit parking lot around 9:30 - 9:45am. If you're running late and want us to wait a bit longer, call me on my cell phone (317) 374-9286. Also those further south of Indy that want to meet up on I-65 someplace along the route, give me a call on Saturday and we'll sync up.
Matt, Cunningham's parking lot can park 60 cars. They shouldn't be very busy for lunch on Saturday. It's just that it works out well for the morning drive if we go there. And if Rick and the Indy guys want to cut out before the Thunder traffic starts the can jump on I-265E to I-71S to I-264W. Cross the bridge @I-64 W & go around to I-265NE and pick up I-65 N. It's along way around but you'll miss the traffic. I know of at least 3 more other P car joining us. Steve Mc.
Just exchanged emails with Randy B. Looks like he may be coming down with the Indy group in his Diablo MoMo roadster.
