Richard, you take some great photos. You may have seen my car at NPR for the FQC parked away from the crowd. I would love to meet up with some of your friends cars for some fun runs. I am going to make the run to Red Bluff MS in a few weeks let me know if you know anyone who is interested. Hwy 40 on the North shore is also fun but it has too many cross streets(it's not safe to realy push the cars).

Also does anyone know when they are having the LSU car show?

Just pick the time and place and I will try to be there. That is if you guys will not turn your noses up at a lowly German made Audi RS4. The only thing I have going on some weekends now is Autocross both the Delta (New Orleans) Cenla (Baton Rouge).

Sorry for the car confusion. I saw a car which i mistakingly believed was an RS4 as I was leaving the track event last november, and the tag was 'RAUDI'.

I'd love to take some photos of your car some time, I'll be back in New Orleans permanently by the middle of June with a couple of new photographic tricks up my sleeve

I would be happy to clean it up for some pics. Just give me a little warning maybe a weeks notice and I will have her shining for you.

On another note I saw the 308 again today as she is up on a rack at the shop having a (I think he said) Tubi exhaust system put in. She looks just as good in the air as she does on the ground. I think the guy got a great deal for only 10K on the clock and $40K.

 

Stopped by to ask Alex some questions about various makes and models that I am considering collecting and noticed that the Black 308 is a GTSi. Very clean.

Yellow F430 was behind me yesterday driving on N. Peters but then turned to Canal Place.

 

So today I was north of Baton Rouge LA at the Trans Louisianan Autocross Challenge and we are taking our break and a debadged red 328 GTS (my favorite, I have been looking for one with low miles) and a black Lotus Esprit show up. At our break I walked over to look at the 328 and as I am finished checking it out and walking back to my RS there are a few guys standing around my car. I walk over and one of them says “If this is your car I raced you in my Ferrari”. So he asked if I would race him again after the event was over. He tells me that he has twin turbos and an inter cooler on the car and it is really fast. He also says he thinks it is putting out about 500bhp and it will probably kill my RS but he wants to race anyway. As it turns out he is in love with the RS and I with his 328. He goes on to tell me that he bought two 328’s back in 1989 and still has one in the garage with only 90mi on it. By the way he also has a yellow Gallardo.

So we make three runs two at 60 and one at 80. He barely creeps away from me on the two at 60 and I manage to creep away from him on the one from 80. A S4 was behind us on the first two runs and he said he was going to tape it but we split up so I don’t know that he did. We spent some time taking turns playing cat and mouse on a windy back road on the way back to New Orleans. Good Fun!

 

Ahhh, you met Coco. That 328 is bad-a$$ when it's running right. I've seen it chase down and pass a competition-spec 930 turbo on I10 going to the track before!!

 

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and the drive home and yes his car is very fast.

 

Does anyone know what cars are going to be at the LSU show this year? Was at the show last year and fell in love the orange murci. Any chance the Mclaren F1 will be there? If so, that will be well worth my drive in from Houston.

 

Is that the same coco that used to have a mustang gt with slicks on it in mandeville?

I saw a red 308 or 328 on 190 in covington today, i was going the other way so I couldn't get close.
