    +1 I also agree.

Give FA a perfect car and he can drive great.....big friggin' deal! Give him a not-so-perfect car and you'll see him struggle to keep up and then blame everyone except himself. He may be a champion on paper but FA has never been a true champion IMO.

I love how Kimi has the capability to take a not-so-perfect or even broken car and pull so much performance out of it to where even his engineers are amazed!...and no matter how bad the car is, his words (even if they are spoken in monotone) show respect and professionalism towards the team. We all know Kimi is a man of few words but it appears that those few words are always chosen wisely and Ferrari can rest assured that he will maintain respect and integrity for the team.

Kimi may not be a champion yet on paper but he sure appears to handle himself and drive like one. At least much better than the current champion...IMHO of course :)

true. but however, i still respect for him for the fact that he's still a champion. the youngest. he's just 2-3 years older than me and IMO, he's done a lot. he drives extremely well on track, and like u said, given if he had a proper car.

i can still argue that he's 1st championship was 'given' to him, based on the facts that Kimi's engine was blowing and MS was struggling with the new rules of the tyres that time. but he kept his nerve and still won that year and 2006.

however, i just hate him for his comments. he's not professional enough, IMO. he needs to stick with the team through thick and thin, not go rallying to the press on what he thinks and what happens within the team. if he wins, he goes on radio and thank the whole team and that goes on air, but when he lose, he gives nonsense comments.

Indeed. You can say what you want about Massa, but he has the right attitude. Maybe he's not a natural winner, but he's trying hard and learning.

hm, and here I thought he did abandon Renault when he signed a contract with Mercedes early on in the year without notifying his own manager and/or the team of his intention.

...because Hamilton would not care about the light, jump into the car anddrive with glass sticking in his behind! Thinking about that: maybe he did that is why he finished in front of Alonso.

The overhead lights in F1 garages are no small deal.
I can only imagine that if they fall on the car they could break the winglets, bargeboards, etc...

Too bad Alonso was not in the car when it happened, he could have broke the fall with his head! He truly is a woman trapped in a mans body

    no, MS/Ferrari lost those titles.

FA just happened to be the 2nd place guy who got lucky.

    Big difference.

No difference at all, even if it were true two years in a row.

Let me repeat the only relevant facts: He beat MS. Twice. He is the youngest WDC winner ever. He is the first Spaniard to score more than a total of 6 points in F1. He is still heading the WDC after three races. His departure from Renault has left them in the pits. He hasn't broken a McLaren yet (KR would have already gone through three engines).

You can't take all that, can you?

He is also 23 years old and a jerk, but that's entirely beside the point, and in F1 he is in very good company.

Yes, apologies for my mistake. At this point in my life anything under thirty sounds so young that I have trouble keeping track.

+1 but yes he is 25, and has more talent in my opinion that any of the drivers on the grid. He did not luck into 2005, he earned it, when the championship was in the bag he put everybody away in the last race of that season.

From what I saw...and I watched every race...both Ferrari and Bridgestone tried to win every race...they just didn't have the car or driver to do so...
