Sid, Sorry to hear of your injury. I have my own challenges on occasion that limit my flexibility. (Maybe that's why I yearn for a larger car) Looking forward to meeting you guys at Cannon. DJ
Thank you Spasso and Jeanette and I are very proud to be the new owner! Had to look out in the garage just to check to make sure it is real and still there!! We plan on going to Cannon Beach as our first Major NW event. Thanks Steve R. and Gary R. for your assistance and input. A lot of amazing miracles came together in this process!!
Right on! The last time that car went on a major trip was the 3-day drive around the Olympics. The more I drove the better it ran (especially after the Moclips Highway run) VERY important to keep that carbon cleared out!! Oh by the way Gary, I forgot to give you this "swell" leisure suit to go with the car. We are about the same height so it should fit you. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations! I know how much love you put into that Fcar and those carbs sounded ever so good on last years Moclips drive. Now, here is something for sale that might catch your eye...
Yes, it does. Have to stick to priorities!!! I don't want to bring another home until the shop is usable year round.
You can park it elsewhere until the shop is done. I'm sure someone can find you or loan you some extra garage space.
I'll even park it in my garage for awhile and keep a key just to make sure it starts... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Quite well thank you. Bloody thing always starts, never has issues, and the stock Euro exhaust is louder than Dino #2 (aftermarket Tubi). I know you like German cars and for the Bora, Maserati cloned the electrical system from the Bosch system they used in the MBenz 6.9 autobahn bombers. The German ZF transaxle is straight out of the Ford GT40/BMW M-1 supercars. This last weekend's drive to Vancouver in Dino #2 showed that I haven't fixed the Dino windshield wiper problem so you'll probably see the Bora at Cannon Beach.
Way to go DJ. On your way to a TR in due time, I understand. Looks like your 308 found a good home. Hellofadeal.
Thanks Sparkmaster. I am very happy OldYellow got to stay in the NWRFCA and with caring owners. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the road as spectator. Hows that big V-12 rebuild coming along on the P-51? At least you don't have top do timning belts on it every 5 years....
Did the starter clutch pak thing in 2 days with the eng in. The Pros from Dover were amazing. Took 3 hrs to blower out. Another day to close and do some other junk. Backfire screens, new coolant pump. I'l send you a cd. First pix blower gear pack and second is accssory drive unit. The big blower wheel case sits aft of these. Congrats on selling your car Spasso. I have enjoyed seeing you and your car several times. When I was in the market, I would have loved to buy a car from you. I have been fairly lucky with my car since it was new to the NW. In the future I will only buy cars from locals such as yourself. The new owners are lucky to have bought your car. A well sorted out car for sure! good luck on the search for the next one. Phil
