So the roof is off, the extension support is poured. As of this writing, they have built the exterior wall for the extended garage. Plywood is down for all of the second floor except over the garage. This puppy should be framed by the end of the week....I think the flag was a nice touch. since my last update. Windows are in, roof is on, interior is framed. Not much to show inside except a lot of wood studs. I'll fill in on that later. Siding is going on this week. The garage slab should be poured next week. I'll have to start lurking through the garage pix threads to get an idea for the stable. After that, it's back to car shopping. I have to admit, this turned out a lot better than I expected and is miles away from what the house looked like at the beginning.
for all the well wishes. We should be done in about 2 months. It's the inspections that take time. Plumbing and electric next week. Should take about 2 weeks. By July 1 should be sheetrock and ready for flooring and tile. To be continued Jim
That looks really nice. I also had a hard time envisioning the outcome based on the original house, but this looks great.
But things are moving along. We have about 4 weeks left. Here is the outside, pretty much finished. Sheetrocking this week and flooring next week. I'll start taking pix of the inside then. Jim Image Unavailable, Please Login
It turned out great! It looks like it was built that way in the first place, which indicates good planning on your part.
i made a scrap book of our remodeling transformation that we keep in the familyroom... so when people ask about all the work you have done, you can just show them the transformation in pics. enjoy it
I have taken plenty of pictures. Maybe I'll get one of those digital picture frames and I could show the progress pix.
