What the hell happened to this thread? It's become an advert for Boxters.

Back to the point - WHEN IS THIS RACE GOING DOWN?

I hate to disappoint you, but the chances of any internet-issued challenges amounting to more than a bunch of chest-thumping posts is pretty much zero.

Before anyone gets TOO excited...I am sure SOME people are serious and have the means, but getting BOTH parties to show up, assuming they have the required hardware, is a non-starter.

Remember it is not who c*ms the most that counts it is he who c*ms the best. On this basis there are arguements for both porche and ferrari, with newer ferrais being more orgasmic and porches more usable but bland.

Therefore fastest around a given track is but one factor in driver enjoyment, and the differences between the mderns in terms of lap times is more about driver skill than anything else.

One is a wife the other a mistress, one you can have everyday, the other you look forward too on weekends. Get it.

As to the above it is as serious as this thread.

    Bye

I have read through pages and pages, because someone told me this was an interesting thread, it got real interesting when VRAlex showed and accepted the challenge.

Now I've been reading through all the subsequent posts about Boxters (Which are great for what they are) and no B-Mak!!!

C'mon guys, where's the Canadian Pride, me and some others I know are looking forward to making the trip to see this, let's go! Pony up, although I don't know Alex personally, his reputation precedes him and he's for real!

I think Spring Mountain, outside of Vegas would be a great place for an F-Chat/6speed get together, or Montreal, or Toronto, those are fun towns too.

    So C'mon B-Mak, B-Real and step up.

Mosport perhaps? Good chance I'll be there Friday in a Boxster S.

As confusing as this thread has become, I still vaguely recall that you're supposed to be piloting a Ferrari and your challenger (VRAlexander) will bring a Porsche of his choice. Isn't that what the original wager was all about - you insisting a F-car will outperform a P-car on track?

I can pedal any number of cars faster than poseurs in 996 turbos. I'm an equal opportunity driver.

This is what you said at first:

    Now you say:

Am I the only one confused. You said racetrack of his choice, now you say Mosport on Friday?

I personally don't care about the Porsche vs. Ferrari dead horse argument. Had 'em both, they're both great cars it's a matter of preference. I just want to see someone do what they say they're gonna do.

B-Mak posted to someone, you assumed you could jump in, that's fine. I challenged Cajun, not you.

You said "Name your terms and find out!"

Then I responded to your post; "PM me and I'll give you a location of the track that's closest and we can sort out the cars that will be used. It's nice and warm here now, no time like the present!"

Now you're waiting for me to arrive?

Re-read your own posts. If you want to race, follow my terms and we'll race.

It won't surprise me the least when you back out.

While not against the rules of the forum, it can be viewed as in bad taste to post PMs in public. Not preaching, just saying.

And again, as the heat builds let's try to keep the name calling at a minimum just because thats how we roll here (or at least purport to) :)

Funny, I got a PM too! It was more along the lines of juvenile name calling though...

VRAlex, let him go man. He is not worth your time, energy, or fuel. He has absolutely NOTHING to back his claims up with. He has yet to tell us what car he would use to back his sheit talking up with, and I have asked him numerous times.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to gain here except bragging rights for beating a 10 y/o BMW, Pontiac Solstice, or Mountain Bike.
