When I purchased my 79 308 it came with a complete set of tools and a jack in the pouches. How can one tell if these are the original tools or some reproduction after market replacements??? Did anyone make reproductions?

Take a good look using 'search' in the 308 thread probably on '308 tools' - I'm pretty sure there are loads of photos - there seems little point in faking originals since they have been more or less continuously available from Ferrari - it is possible that (for example) incorrect era pliers have been included

Checked out the search function and not much there about reproduction tools. The picture shown on one of the threads had tools with Ferrari on all of them. My do not have the logo but have UTEM - N1000 - Italy on one side and CHROM - VANVDIUM on the other side. Threre is nothing on the screwdrivers or the pliers. Do I assume they are reproductions? Anyone know the story on the 308 tools??

They sound genuine to me but without your posting a photo it is extremely hard to tell - it is only later eg 328 tools that were marked Ferrari as far as I know

Here's a picture of some of my tools...can you tell if they are original? I was glad to hear that the Ferrari Logo was not used on the tools until after the 328 went into production.

I think the mods ought to move this to the 308 section to get a wider response

I've not come accross the 'Utema' before but thats probably my inexperience - usual brand is 'Pollytools' - the screwdriver looks correct as do the pliers even though they seem almost too shiney !
