    I raised my car for an oil change over the weekend and noticed that my CV joint boots had a bit of dirt on them (as expected). So I cleaned them up. But I was wondering, is there a product that you guys use to apply to the CV joint boots to keep them "fresh", so that they don't dry up and crack, and eventually break and spill their contents? Will silicone help?

    Silicone may help, but I think its the catalytic heat that really affects them the most.

    Yeah, make sure you have your heat shields on.
