Ferraris can be practical, especially Mondials. If you have a picture to prove this, please post them here! This is my contribution - yesterday's Costco run... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is an old photo, but you can't get more practical than diapers!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
ahh the Target at the market place, we have a house down the street in Northpark. i should have taken a pic from the last trip to NB from from up here, 2 adults 2 kids and luggage in the Mondial. Although the wife says she'll fly next time. the space in these GT's is GREAT! I also get a kick out of the sudden "Oh look it's got back seats!"
No pics, but I run errands with the GTB. Bank, Pharmacy, groceries, I even picked the kid up after choir practice at school a few times. But ya know, some kid told her I was just showing off so I stopped that. Walmart is a big no no around these parts. I dont know why but Walmart shoppers up here are the rudest and most irresponsible people around. They wouldnt put a cart away to save thier soul. Carts all over the parking lots rolling wherever, left wherever whomever was parked and drove away. Its a war zone. They park thier cars and trucks pretty horsesh** too.
Man, that's a lot of Famous Amos!! I went to Home Depot once in the Mondial and decided while I was there that I needed a couple cinder blocks for the garden. I got some funny looks loading concrete blocks into the trunk of a Ferrari!
Hmmmm, how would it work for carting around open paint cans/turpentine/paint remover/brushes soaking in mineral spirits..........?
Hey, I've hauled home cans of paint and a filled propane tank for my gas grill in my 308.....Home Depot even helped me locate some cardboard in the Lawn and Garden Dept. to put down in the passenger seat so the propane tank wouldn't scuff/cut the leather seat.
I've had my car at Home Depot and Kroger a few times. My wife and I used the 308 for our wedding. On the way to get married the car was filled to max capacity with wedding stuff! Its a wonderful car, and a big part of our lives!
Last year one of my driver's car broke and we had 20 pizzas to deliver for a party drop the seats load the pizzasand you should seen the look on the peoples faces when I pulled up in the mondial.
Well, Dave you got me beat in terms of tonage, but did go to Home Depot and get two Olive trees into the back seat..... Hope the trip was short and that isn't metling material in the trunk...otherwise.....too much heat. PS: what was in the front boot?
Funny about the pizza story... In Australia, I used to deliver pizzas in a 308GT4, INCLUDING the rooftop sign! As for the front trunk, well, my Mondy t has a REAL spare tire in there. Looks like a Dino wheel - I should check. It isn't a space saver though. I'm working on a cupholder - I just got the roof fixed yesterday thanks to Ron's awesome latches. First time in over a year the roof has been up. I really and truly do use the car as a daily driver. It's almost at 55000 miles, is parked outside most of the time, and is in desperate need of a wash!
I once had to take a queen size mattress home, and being too cheap to pay the $35 delivery fee to go a few miles, I strapped the thing to the roof of the GT4. Someone thought it was amusing as it was on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald the next day in a section called "Column 8".
I actually recently posted these in the 328 Mega Thread in the Showroom section, but these belong here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think I smell a new thread entitled, "photos of the most random stuff you have stuffed in your FErrari"
05 trip to Le Mans, repeated in 06. Two adults (well training to be anyway) tent, sleeping bags, enough girlie clothes for long weekend, chillie box for the beers/cheese, assorted food/clothes/folding seats etc. No drama's and lots of surprised people when we got to the camp site! When I bought my 308 GTBi, I used it as my daily driver and I had no other car. It was driven 15,000 miles annually with hardly a problem, but I did do regular maintenance on it. The Bosch FI never missed a beat, even at altitude where the carbureted cars were puking all over themselves. At FCA Hillclimb at Virginia City, it would turn a respectable 3:50. Not bad for a commute car.
