so who is going at this stage ?
Will never understand Pee Pee. Nobody could talk him into doing the FCA National Rally in Tasmania last year, and yet he is off on this jaunt to the same location over the same roads? *scratches head*
no, he only became interested *after* hearing how good it was from so many folks! if this was happening last year there's no way we'd drag him out, but this time he was begging for it. edit: or it could just be that i'm coming.
No disputing they are the best and least over policed roads in Australia. I lived there for 4 years, did five Targa's and have done at least 9 full laps myself. My only comment is that it would be difficult to cover the whole state in 2 days. You certainly wouldn't have time to do anything but drive if you tried.
it's a "driving holiday", so yeah we expect to do 6-7 hours of pure driving a day, we're not climbing cradle mountain or having a romantic time at wineglass bay... it's like 16 guys with a passion for motoring.
yeah i lived there as a toddler (not that that counts) and did a lap of it myself several years ago in a pop-top camper, doing much the same route we'll be doing, not to mention we have Beama on board who hasn't said anything is wrong with our schedule (indeed, he even wanted to add a few hours at a racetrack to it...!!!) it's been thought through well enough i think, it's a demanding yet rewarding journey we have in front of us. wait... i just noticed you already have access to the area where we're discussing it, when we started it i thought you might be interested in coming (or providing advice). edit: 6-7hrs of "pure driving" means adding on several 15 min stops here and there, i'm allowing for 10hrs to get from a-b.
