Damn, 2 years in a row I'll miss. Have to be in FL. I guess that gives Rob a better chances for 2nd place in our category though!
I might modify last minute after looking at entries to balance, but last year we hit it dead on. 2006 Award winners Best of Show: Andy Tymkiw 1983 Ferrari 512 BBi Sponsors Choice: Gary Cowan 1973 Ferrari Daytona Most Miles: Tillman Strahan 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS (90,000 miles) Best Engine Bay: Rick Nichols 1987 Lamborghini Countach Best Detail: Stuart Singer 1972 Ferrari 246 GTS Ferraris Class A (Vintage) 1st: Stuart Singer 1972 Ferrari 246 GTS 2nd: Greg Brendel 1960 Ferrari 250 PF Cab. Wow! Congrats, going for 0 miles before June? Your 328 will increase in value $10k for having the lowest miles!
Entries are starting to come in, to your advantage to send in early as I will set which models are in Ferrari Class A, B, C, D, and E. I will try to get a similar number in each, so more early entries for your model, the more likely it will have less models to compete with. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last 3 years of the show. I would say yes unless Boardwalk tells me otherwise. From past experience I know no's are Mercedes, BMW, and Vettes.
I went by Boardwalk yesterday and signed up the 355 with a request to allow the Ford GT. Shad said they would check and get back with me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am going to have to call in to work this year to go. I missed last year and I could have kicked myself. I missed this years recent Lambo day at MSR after driving in it last year. I'm not missing this stuff anymore. I am also glad to see my pictures are liked. One of the "favorites" is mine and other my friend took with my camera. In fact, thats my fat butt in the blue shirt video taping the F50. I am looking forward another great show!!!
I am definately going! Any place that allowed me to see the Azzuro F50 for the last time is fine by me! Question to you vets of the event though. How highy is the rarity? Are we talking F50s? Older 1960's? Just curiousity. And does Risi from Houston bring anything? Either way look forward to going. Rob, I do expect to see your grey Challenge there.
No, Risi doesn't bring anything. Boardwalk trys to get something special each year. Wide range, the vintage turnout has been improving each year. Good diversity of Great Lambos, Porsches, and etc too.
Well, doesn't matter, then after seeing your previous threads show Enzos, F50s, F40s, and even 288 GTOs. I think that's more than enough for me.
I'm going to have miss out on this one, I'll be working on Saturdays now. Saving for the 308 fund, yadda, yadda, etc.. Have fun all.
