    why of course :)

it comes down to the customers needs or wishes. each one being different, If it works out I can go out and do the install or if preferred the car can be brought over for a custom install.

No way, man! I'm saving up for the supercharger kit!!!

Besides the CIS doesn't soot up the back of the car like a bunch of Weber accelerator pumps, and the car is white, so that's a big plus.

    Scott,

    This sounds very very interesting.

I'm asuming water/air plenum to replace the stock 308?? Something like Marks old SC?

And this would work with your SC as an added goodie? WOW!

Sorry for changing/hijacking the thread. Got a little excited.:)

in a way I guess, the new water/air plenum would look just like the original 2v or 4v one but would have 'cores' that water flowed thru to cool the air charge. preliminary est I have show this costing an additional 2~3k however if I can do some volume on it that should drop into the 1k range or less.

Okay, I know its sooo 70's, but so is the car? So why wouldnt this blower work with carbs? If you pressurise the airbox, the vents for the fuel bowls are up top by the airhorns vented into the airbox, so the fuel bowls will always equalise pressure with incoming air. Obviously you would need more fuel pressure to overcome the fuel pump pressure, so you would need a higher pressure rated fuel pump with some type of rising rate pressure regulator.

Will higher internal pressures make the carbs more susceptible to leaks at the lead plugs ? Well duh, we can we stake them better.

Will they blow fuel mixture out at the throttle shaft bearings? Carl sells sealed bearings, will that eleviate the problem? Probably.

Will changes in carb internal pressure throw fuel mixture off considerably? Lotus blew the Espri through Weber carbs, what did they do different from NA? I think unless you blow insane pressures they will work as is ?

Would the stock airbox rupture with 5 PSI put into it? Well, we could always put something else together, Russ has sure built enough airbox's to be a pathfinder.

If guys put in P6 cams or something reasonably hot, and get the power up near 275-300 crank HP NA, and then blow the airbox, what would say, 5 pounds of boost do to horsepower ? 7 pounds? 10 pounds ? How would you know when your nearing the limit of preignition or detonation? With Tubi exhausts etc., you sure as hell aint gonna hear it. Maybe an exhaust temp gauge?

Russ should get in on this, his new motor would freaking leave orbit with just about any boost it could smell. What would 5 pounds of boost do to Russ motor as he has it described so far, IE approx 325 wheel HP NA?

    Discuss please.

P.S. Scott, how much for a DIY blower only?

You certainly can spent that much, but you really don't ned to for most all applications, $1500 will get you a decent ECU.

Hi, I am looking for some spare parts to upgrade my 308 QV. Where can I find those beautiful adjustable cam pulleys?
In addition: do you have any suggestion about the best cam belts out there? And last but not least, what is in your opinion the best clutch for my car? Thank you
