I'm curious to get some feedback on this car. http://www.chariotsofpb.com/main.php/inventory/detail?car_id=1767 It looks great and I will get a PPI done when I'm closer to the purchase but wanted some thoughts on the pricing, condition, etc. Thanks all!
I want those mats! I'm thinking of getting Keith Collins mats in those colors for my car. Back to business... Do the lights go down?! I've given up trying to evaluate cars based on tiny Internet photos. The only thing that bugs me is the chop-job speaker installation on the passenger (and presumably the driver's side) door panel. Rubbish. The seat rub looks about right for the mileage. Shift knob is aftermarket. Ideally you want the OEM carpets and shift knob, if they're available. What is "full belt service and certification"? By whom? A belt service and a major service are different - confirm what has been done and assume not much. Black/tan are the best colors on these cars; 27K miles is nice - car hasn't been a piece of furniture, but when you hit 30K miles plan on taking a slight hit in value (if you care) (you probably shouldn't care). $52K is a good price if the services really are up to date, but you need to look at these cars in person - or get a trusted expert to do it for you. If someplace like Shelton or FCF did the service, $50K would be a very good price. If Biff's Arco station did the work, then proceed with caution. Maybe check with the Florida FChat guys to see if the dealer is reputable. Florida is generally a bad state to buy used cars in.
Yes, I'll definitely go over the records. I guess my main question is regarding pricing. I've seen many red/tans with the same milage and "recent service" for much less. (Problem is, I'm prone to blk/tan) i.e. http://autos.yahoo.com/usedcars/detail/index.html;_ylt=AmnxbM_rPDxRAWlsw970SvOcTMUF;_ylv=3?cid=automobiles-220788173&dst=10.67&rsr=Yj0mbWFrZT1GRVImbW9kZWw9MzI4R1RTJmNsX3k9JmNoX3k9JmNsX3ByaWNlPSZjaF9wcmljZT0mY2xfbWk9JmNoX21pPSZjaz0mZ3VyPWFueSZjc3o9MzMxMzkmdnR5cGU9YXV0b3MmbWs9RmVycmFyaSZtbz0zMjgrR1RT
Look at the nasty gaps around the front bonnet on that one. That's not how it came from the factory. Also look at the door panels inside - looks like a boom-box. Who owned this one? Again, it's hard to conclude much based on web pics, but IMO that one would be hard to swallow at $40K. There are tons of red/tan 328s (Motorcars Int'l has 4 in stock right now.) Condition, condition, condition...
Does Jerry J. Moore of Houston ever sell his Ferrari models? He had them by the dozen and favoured 328 GTB and TR among others... and a silver/black Daytona Spyder to. Half a dozen F40 models and so on, well you get the idea> CH
