save me from ebay! deal for my 348 spider just fell through. now willing to sell to one of us here for $45000. see ad here at ferrariads or globalautosports.com. its the black/tan 1995.
i had wanted to do a consignment when i had time to sell the car but f of li (and others i asked) were not really interested. unfortunately, i now need to sell quickly b/c the gt3 i ordered is here and i need the $ to pay for it.
I'd hate to see u firesale it, but it shjoiuld go quickly if u post it aggressively here. Forget ebay for now as you might get too many flakes to waste ur time.
having trouble uploading pix here. please go to ferrariads and then key words roll hoops or hre. should get you right to it.
Is this not through which people jump? BTW, that is a beautiful 348. I went through all the pages and found it. Does that mean I jumped through hoops?
For you TWO amateurs........with 10 posts {{{{SERIOUS SARCASM}}}} You hit v8>>>>>Type 348 in the S E A R C H window.... And wouldn't you know it......poooooof, there are the 348's for sale.... JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showcat.php?si=348&perpage=12&sort=1&stype=&cat=11&ppuser= Ya, YOU TOO! http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showcat.php?si=348&perpage=12&sort=1&stype=&cat=11&ppuser=
$45k is way too low for a spider. I was expecting a price at least 10k more. Its a steal. Hopefully someone will buy it soon.
That is going to be the bargain of the year for a 348 IMHO! Plus I like that you have out the modifications (wheels and hoops) as not included. If I were in the market I would prefer it with stock wheels. Someone should definitely step up and snap this deal up! BT
thanks for all the compliments but this is just the problem ive been having. everyone loves the car and the value but no one makes an offer. will have to go to ebay next with $48k reserve and if that doesnt work give to dealer for $40k at trade in. oh well, its only money
I've been spending more time obsessing about 348 values than any sane person has a right to. If the PPI goes OK I'll buy a '90 TS in the next few weeks for about what you are asking for your spider. Maybe, you should try to put the regular wheels back on, get rid of the roll hoops and re-list. My opinion is that the market values stock or close to stock vehicles.
is your choice b/c you just dont like convertibles? otherwise why take a 5 year older targa over mine? you might be right about stock but is it possible that someone wouldnt want my car b/c i would have to swap out the stock rims that are sitting in my gararge or take another 30 minutes to unbolt the hoops?
I don't believe any serious buyer would care that you have aftermarket wheels and removeable roll hoops on the car as it sits today. The typical real buyer would just want to have the stock wheels put on and the roll hoops removed before the car leaves your driveway. Who cares about thirty minutes when the typical car search is 6-8 months? BT
Me either I think the wheels look excellent (stock are fugly imho). If I could move this Porsche I'd add that puppy to the garage! That is a strong buy...
Convertibles are definitely not my thing. If there were more TBs on the market I'd get one of those over a TS, but there are just not that many. Also as silly as it sounds, I want my first ferrari to be red. I agree yours is a great buy. As far as the wheels and roll hoops go, it was just a thought, maybe it is a dumb suggestion. Personally, when I see an ad for a car that has been modified with things aftermarket wheels I tend to think there might be other mods done as well that I might not want and I just tend to skip over them instead of digging through the details. It's probably just me though
$45,000 is way too low for a spider. and wasn't it posted originally at $65,000? a $20K drop in price?
I never figured out why there are more Spiders on the market. The only reason I'd sell mine to be able to do some racing where convertibles aren't allowed.
I overwhelmingly agree with 95spiderman. The 348 Spider is the best of the series, and not just because of the convertible top. Unless you're committed to that '90, I'd rethink. Do the PPI on this one and sell the HRE rims if you're not into them. There are also two 348 Spiders at Sports Car Company in San Diego with asking prices of $54K and $45K. I think you could get the nicer of those for around $50K, which still makes 95spiderman's car a nice buy. (Mileage on that one is similar.) Also, black/tan isn't as common as red/tan. You can be a lot more leisurely shopping for red Ferraris. If you love black/tan, like I do, that should nudge you even more. I would. But I would have the stock wheels put on and sell the aftermarket stuff. But ... I'm Mr. Original, so take my opinion in that light.
