So I just got done booking a trip to Monterey to catch this must see event. Besides the Concorso on Friday, Lauguna Historics on Saturday, and the big event on Sunday at Pebble Beach what else is a must see for car lovers? I'll be checking out the RM Auctions at my hotel.

You might want to check out downtown Carmel when the Tour d'Elegance rolls through town. They close off the whole main street, and if you are not into classical cars, i guarantee numerous late model exotics will be there for lunch/to watch.

I am going to the Concorso Italiano for the first time this year. Is this event any good? Anybody else going?

Doing great, Dan ... and you? The cars seem to be working (most of the time). Will I see you at Quail?

It is good and you must do it at least once,
but you may experience sensory overload...

I'm going again. I like Concorso. It is crowded, it is crazy. I like that everything shows up, not just high end stuff. The Fiat Spider with a small block Chevy will NOT be at Quail. Probably no Lambrettas at Quail either. Porta Potties at Concorso are probably not as nice as at Quail. My GT4 is probably not welcome at Quail. No fashion show at Quail, is there?

This picture is from when Concorso was at Quail. Yikes, I look young. But unlike Santana Row, even with everyone watching the bike re-started on the first kick! Every year someone is pushed off the ramp and I just prayed it wasn't going to be me!

There is a new event this year on Tuesday, called Concours on the Avenue )- an invitational concours on Ocean Ave, and in contrast to most of the other events, it's free! Check it out on motorclubevents.com ..... sounds potentially good, and earlier in the week than most everything else, so should not conflict.
