360 oil questions

    I may have over filled my 2001 360 spider and it is now giving a puff of white smoke on cold starts. any ideas?

    Can't get into a specialist or main dealer till 24th may so i'm getting alocal mechanic to drain and refil as a temp measure so your assistance would be appreciated in the following:

    1. whats the best oil for the 360 and how much will i need?
    2. whats the proceedure for correctly checking the oil level?
    3. whats the proceedure for changing the oil?

    I know i may sound daft but your help is appriceiated

    He is right, it is been discussed to death. If you search oil & filter, limit to 360/430 section, and look for posts by Rifledriver you will get a lot of good hits. Here is one thread of many:

    You should note that this is not a simple job. You need a torque wrench and special fitting for the filter. The filter has a torque spec and that is important. There are multiple drain points, etc.
