    Hi there. I recently moved to West Vancouver, BC and own a 1974 Dino. I've been told that in order to register the car here, I need to get a provincial inspection. I have reservations about leaving my car with the folks at Canadian Tire. Ferrari of Vancouver does not perform inspections and the Porsche, Mercedes, and Land Rover dealerships only perform inspections on their own cars. I'm curious about whether anybody has gone through this process with a similar car and knows an inspection center in the area they would recommend.

    Welcome! Anybody with a Dino is my hero :)

    There's two different inspections: Canadian Tire is required if you bring the car from outside Canada, and if so - there's no choice.

    But - if you're just bringing in the car from another province, then there's lots of choices. Give Joseph at http://www.prancinghorseinc.ca/mainpage.html a shout, he tells me he does the inspections. Joseph has an amazing 246 in his shop he's restoring- absolutely recommended! he does all my 348 work, and only does Fcars.

    I had my car inspected at the Maserati shop on Kingsway - but that was before I knew :)

    I may be incorrect but I believe the 15 year and older rule applies here and that means CT does not need to inspect your car. As long as you get it certified the emissions and a number of other things also should not apply.
