412P 0854 Total Resto J6 25K service 002C service Meg's 57 It takes a while to fully sort them. We usually restore them, drive them hard, figure out what still needs attention, tear them down, fix what we found, and put them back together. This time on J6, which we restored 12 years ago, we rebuilt motor, replaced clutch, cleaned the tub, fixed cracks in the body, repainted wheels, changed tires, rebuilt shocks, replaced rubber hoses, etc. 002C is close but we're going to rebuild shocks/retention leaf springs/rebuild gearbox, (We rebuilt motor last tear down) and other minor things such as put in a thermostat as I like to drive her into the fall and the water temp gets too low as it did when I drove her up Mt Etna at the last Historic Targa. Lola is done as is Dusey and Stutz. P 4/5 had service and is superfine. 208GTB Turbo is done and 0846 is done as well. Best
Jim, I"m curious - does 002 have the Colombo designed lever shocks, or the Houdaille shocks? I think it was the Fitzgerald book that mentions the early Ferraris used a Colombo designed custom shock. -steve
I believe it has a combo of both. Ferrari and I have spoken about this and they're going to help me rebuild them. Best

it is interesting to see the rough condition of many of the panels in the series of photos at the beginning of this thread. it will be a great contrast to the condition in the end. thanks for sharing with us. tom w

I thought of that one, as we put roundrels on this year's Art Car...and I did the numbers in tape, like the old days of Nassau.... Did you finish your 208T shield installation? I cannot find that thread... And I need some 'high heel dent remover'....can you send a can of that over? A hit and run sadly while we were inside the Ball, no one saw anyone on my car, but they left tracks........
Yes shields are done. Jesse will be driving her at the Historic Targa this year and we'll post photos. Sorry about the heels. Best
"It's just a flesh wound...." Monty Python I've done much worse, personally, against totally innocent trees and shrubbery.....LOL! Drive safely, yourself!!
KEWL ! i love it! ...must be a totally different sound and feel from the other 308 series cars. how many 308 parts can a Gulfstream hold ! LOL thanks for the pictures. Michael
It's a much later car (1988) and is a bit different. I had a 308 GTBi which I drove 85k miles and really liked but this is a little more modern and a great car for threading through the mountains esp. with the Turbo which helps at altitude. Best
Holy ****!!!! That is one mighty impressive and powerful photo. BTW: These services you give to her and pretty major ... definitely more than the oil and filter change I give my daily driver Pete
Jim I have to tell you that we are very lucky to have people like you and Manny and a handfull of others around the the world that have the resources and desire to bring these cars back for us all to enjoy. We really are. Without the huge expenditures made by you and others the most we could hope for are a few non running examples sitting on static display to look at. Those huge expenditures also help keep some very rare skills alive and in some cases being taught to younger guys to hopefully keep them around another generation. My hat is off to you.
