So I know this has probably been asked before, just wondering what some of us would get. SLR, Carrera GT, Saleen S7. Oh, doesnt have to be new so F40 would qualify too!!

Would be enough for a LP640 Roadster but not 100% on that car yet.

Just saw hnko's post, a pristin 300 SL would be nice to add to the stable:cool:

can we maybe stretch it out to get an f50? if not, i'd go with probably an f40 and a 360 spyder, or if prices have dropped, 430 spyder.

Wow! More than half the people actually followed the directions this time (ha ha).
The ONE car I would buy would be an F50 (assuming I could get one that cheap).

    Newer - Lambo LP640 Roadster or F599

Older - Lusso or F40 or Daytona Spider

To be honest $500K is a bad mumber. You are neither here or there. To get into the true super car territory I am going to need a cool million. I can than afford to go shopping if you know what I mean. Can you say Enzo, can you say Pagani, can you say Koenigsegg ??

Because *I* can go out to dinner, park at the Mall, travel across the country with few worries, that's why. And I will get good gas mileage.

Oh - you wanted an UNpractical car ?

I dunno, but not one of the 'Supercars' (F40 F50 Enzo)

I love this kind of question. There are so many possibilities. I would want something that is going to become more valuable, but not something that is already towards the top of the value it's going to acheive. I think a very good 288 GTO would be a good bet. I can see them getting more expensive as time goes on. Most importantly though, it's an amazing and beautiful car.

People that dont know about cars at all will look at it in amazement because it's a Ferrari. People that know a little about cars will look at it and be a little impressed because it's a Ferrari and they think it's the same thing Magnum drove but they wont be that impressed because odds are they've seen at least a couple 308s in the past week. People that really know cars, which are the people you want to talk to, will see the car and know that you are driving one of the most amazing cars ever created. I think the 288 GTO is the perfect balance.

After breif research I concluded that if I had $500,000 to spend I would round up an extra $200,000 and go after the yellow 288 GTO prototype that is up for auction tommorrow in Maranello. They estimate the high bid will be around $605,000 but I think it will go higher than that. Hopefully $700,000 would cover it. I'm pretty positive this particular 288 will nearly double in value in about 10 or 15 years time.

    The next classic.

Brutal - in a very good way.

Though if I can still get a proper Daytona Spyder I change my mind...

Me too, not sure you could get one for that, but I really really like the F50 looks. There was a thread somewhere that said alot of people prefer the looks of the F40 over F50, but for some reason to me, the F50 looks much better.

McQueen's Lusso if it is available at that price (probably not), or another fine Lusso.
