Drunk driver hits my sisterinlaw.

    Danielle my sisterinlaw was stopped at a junction ready to turn into her drive when she was hit from behind by another car and rammed into a carpark and nearly over a high drop into a river, Danielle was to badly injured to get out of the car but a neighbour who was out the front ran to help in the meantime two youths jumped out of the other car a Rover 75 and ran away the driver was to injured to run but the bastard tried anyway but couldnt get very far, the police ambulance and fire brigade arrived and tried to sort it out, when the police questioned this scumbag he tried to deny he was driving, the reason being is that he was more than three times over the drink drive limit and the car was stolen, what really gets me is that the fact that he as been arrested for this offence before and is currently serving a three year driving ban :mad: he will probably get another ban and fine and told not to do it again and be a good boy :mad: what the hell can society do to deter these scum?

    I would suggest that the little toerag may actually get a custodial sentence for this (albeit a brief one in all likelihood). If it was up to me they would swing for repeat offences.

    The justice system really annoys me in todays age, Danielle will recover the injuries are mainly in the back and kneck are but she does have a nasty foot injury the will require some attention.
    Maybe he will be sent on an expenses paid holiday to reflect on his behaviour :mad:

    Thanks Andy mate it as been a bad 2007 so far, Danielle will be ok eventually but you are right why should these people get away with this? the justice system in this country is a joke i cant believe that these cretins are being allowed to terrorise the decent law abiding people in this country, we are paying for these scum in our taxes and insurance policies surely something can be done to deter these scum :mad:

    Thanks mate and i agree they should get whats coming to them, i just cant believe that a drunk driver as affected our family again :( just thank God that there were no fatalities this time.
