my first car was a bright red 1997 pontiac sunfire. it was originally my dad's when new, then my mom's, then my sister's, then finally mine. needless to say, it had gone through a lot by the time i got it. by the time i got up to 60 mph, i was getting off the highway. my friends ragged on me about the color of it, but it was my pride and joy for about 6 months. one night, the battery died, turned out i lost the alternator. so, 2 weeks later, after i spent a diecent amount for a 16 yo to fix it up, we traded it in. oh well. im onto bigger and better things now, and i can only see my cars getting better from here on out.

Sweet! I had an '80 Scirocco when I was 18(it was my second car). Followed by an '84, then an '83. I loved those cars.

My first car was a '78 Ford T-Bird that my parents bought new. 19' long. The VW felt tiny by comparison. :)

Now I drive a '96 Cherokee as a daily driver, with my Chopper used for fun. Once that is sold, Ferrari search will begin with a vengeance! :D

I maintained this car myself on my paper route budget. The 1975 JC Whitney catalog was my constant companion.
The first ever performance mod was to put a JCW header and flow through exhaust ($40) -- the neighbors thought the Pettys had moved in as it was so loud. :)

You're kidding! This was my first car too but mine was red w/a black top. I got mine in 1986 after a year of restorative engine work. The previous owner's wife was none too familiar w/the car & accidentally put oil in the radiator, mucking it up good.

I loved that car to death but was forced to sell it before college, and have regretted it ever since. :(

1975 Honda civic hatchback. 4 speed. Fourth plug fouled every 500 kms. Paint came off when I waxed it. Loved that car - wish I still had it.

FIRST VEHICLE: 1968 Bonanza Minibike. My brother sold it without my consent. Disappeared for 20+ years. My brother then recovered it 5 states away and brought it back to me! Now my kids drive it.

FIRST CAR: In 1975 I was 16 and had been saving my money for two years. Bought a 1970 chevelle with 3-on-the-tree for $900. Sold it for $975 9 years later with a 327, holley carb, hooker headers, cam, edelbrock manifold, 4-speed, 12-bolt posi, a pretty cool custom interior that I stitched myself and bodywork and paint that I did myself that wasn't too cool.

    I'll look for pictures.

CURRENT CAR: Daily driver is an '05 E500 w/20's. F430 and a Harley Deluxe.

haha, yeah, luckily no one did that. the school kind of screwed me out of a parking pass, so i parked on the street, and by the time i finally decided to say give me the ticket and go to a parking lot, it was too late, all the spots were taken. so my car got plowed in. it sat there for a week til i was forced to dig it out for an extra credit project, it took 4 guys 3 hours to get her out. :D
