Please forgive my ignorance but is the F430 Challenge a follow up for the 360 Challenge Stradale?

 

No... First there was the road going 360 Modena, then Ferrari introduced the 360 Challenge car which was designed and built for the track only, then came the 360 Challenge Stradale which is road-legal, but features many performance improvements which make it an amazing track car.

Next we have the road going F430 and subsequently Ferrari introduced the 430 Challenge car, again designed and built for the track only and soon (very soon we hope) the 430 Challange Stradale will be upon us. Again, built to be road-going, but will rock on the track.

There is no such thing as a 360 Challlenge Stradale. The car you are talking of is a derivative of the 360 but is called Challenge Stradale, without any number prefix.

This is why there will not be a 430 Challenge Stradale. There will most likely be a lightly modified and improved 430 at the end of the run, which in the US ends with 2008 model year cars (final production in May 2008). The names being bandied about included LP, Leggera Pista, Light Pista etc.
Whatever the car is, it won't vary much from the current 430 as Ferrari is precluded from making any material modifications to the 430 pursuant to a consent decree with the Federal DOT, because of a lack of front passenger seat airbag sensors.

 

Immediate replacement in 2009 or a one to two year pause? My guess would be the latter unless there are mules running around unspotted. The spotted ones have been the end run version of the 430.

great, great and beautiful car. Please post some pics from the inside and the roll bar.
On picture #26, is that the connector to the air jack?
I can imagine the rush and thrill the driver will experience to drive this car.

That translates to around $400,000, but I'm sure it includes a a very punitive import tax.

We all had cool suits installed in our 360 challenges...not sure if there is room in your 430 ...seeing as how there is a passenger seat.

Also, cover your dash when ever you can, that dash is prone to fading. I also put clear bra on all the carbon fiber inside. ie...doors and center console.
