He's also won at Spa - everytime we've been to Spa there's always rain.

where will be DC starting? 16th? i think it's pretty unfair to punish him for 'blocking' heikki.

At least they didn't put him at last last Schuey last year.

Unfortunately it looks McLaren is going to run away with it tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will provide for some excitement. I'm interested to see what happens with the tunnel, how much water the cars will drag in there and if it will be a problem for anyone.

Ferrari's best hope is that it rains (80% chance) and that their gamble on fuel pays off.

Plus, if it is raining at the start of the race it's a whole different strategy than if it's dry and rains later. A great chess match.

If it's dry, Ferrari has to hope for mechanical failure on the McLs.

Or that Lewis tests out the armco again like in practice and Alonso cracks under the pressure at the start.

Lewis will be pushing his car to it's limit, and of cos, to beat Alonso. he has made no secret his desire to win later.

i dunno bout how the Ferrari performance in the rain, but i think Kimi will be heavily fuelled, and if he can make it to P10 at least at the start, and if it rains, he could fight for a podium at least.

    hows the weather forecasts?

I dont think the preassure will be there to cause a mistake.
It will be McLaren 1-2 after the first turn and after that they control the flow.
The only preassure will be self-inflicted thus teams orders come into play.

Well, I won't be watching the race tomorrow. A good friend will Tivo it and it'll probably be Tuesday before I see it. :( F1 is fun but watching F1 with friends make it much, much better. I haven't been looking forward to a race like this for a long, long time. I'm thinking it'll be raining tomorrow which could work to save Kimi.

Something to think about, for the last several years the guy who's won Monaco has gone on to win the WDC...

Only three times in the past 10 tries has the Monaco winner gone on to win the WDC.

You have to respect Massa's driving and teamwork with Ferrari. I've always thought he was great and under appreciated. I think the MB boys will be hard to pass but if the pit plan works then I'll be happy. I have no faith that Kimi will do anything. In fact, every qualifing, I have little faith that he is going to perform. He just doesn't seem to be working well with Ferrari.

    Go Massa

Just read through this thread instead of just looking at the results....

Goddammit Kimi... and Massa pulls through again for the team.

I am a HUGE Ferrari fan, but I have found myself really rooting for Hamilton this year... I really hope he beats that punk Alonso.

Webber has worse luck than anyone in F1 - to even predict a finish is a gamble.

A couple of things have occurred to me lately:

The McLarens don't have the kind of "launch control" that the Renaults had last year -- and that Lewis never got used to. But if he can blow past Alonso at the start, it might soften Kimi having had his doors handed to him by Hamilton off the line in Spain.

I'm thinking that Alonso is a victim of timing. Carlos Sainz spent over a decade earning the press accolades he received in Spain during his career. When he retired from WRC, all that media attention fell to Alonso. That kind of hype can swell a young kid's head. Which may explain, if not excuse, what made him such a jerk after his first WDC. (Of course, for all I know, he might have been a jerk all along.)

Hamilton certainly seems to like sliding the car around Monaco. And he got away with it in several lesser cars. But were any of those races in the wet?
