Looking for best camera support - preferably between two head rests. Are there any products out there that fit this criteria?

Look in the racer catalogs. Most all of them have some sort of set up for taking pics or television linked to your computer. I was reading Classic Motorsports this evening and saw an ad for a camera set up for $800 bucks, as an example.

I recall seeing somewhere a bracket that attached/locked into the metal supports of the head rests. It was more-or-less a metal bar.

    Anyone???

A cheaper alternative, though it may not even be what you are looking for, is the Joby gorillapod. It is a small camera tripod that can be mounted about anywhere. Check out www.joby.com for it. If you want I can PM you some pics of it mounted in a car and the resulting pictures that came from it. Though in most cases it seems to only be mounted to the passenger headrest, not between the two seats.

It sticks to my hard top and drops down to fit my video camera. The Video comes in upside-down but it's easy to flip (you have to flip it horizontal and vertically) in Windows Video player.

Here are a bunch of videos from it:

Not bad for a $70 mount. Sticks like glue and I have no problem on the track. The camera is a Panasonic PV-GS39 I got on sale for like $139 so all together I have less than $250 in the setup. :)
