17" 288 GTO Style wheels from http://www.nicksforzaferrari.com/forzaferrariwebsite1_005.htm 17/8 front and 17/9 in the rear. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport II 225/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear. Jeff
Ferrari cars of any model or color are pretty rare in the interior of B.C. I absolutely love Sammyb's blue 328, Tillman's 308 and JimE's white car. Jeff, your white car with the 17" wheels is beautiful. Although my brain was conditioned at an early age to buy a red Ferrari, I think it really boils down to condition. I definitely wouldn't kick any of this threads blue, white, silver, black, yellow or whatever color to the curb if they were respectfully manitained and cosmetically cared for. I notice that at a Ferrari gathering of big buck cars, my red '78 308 GTS is shown respectfully included. However, when I take a cruise with no other model or color of Ferrari around, I get some pretty awsome comments and over the wall reactions to my little red Ferrari. Of course, the 4 Weber carbs singing through the Tubi exhaust sends ripples of excitement through the air. Now if only someone on this list could lay a reasonably priced new or used set of HyperFlow cats or test pipes on me I could cut down on the risk of engine fires and create even more exotic exhaust tunes Jim
I love Peter's GT4 in Black/Red. My '78 308GTS is a very well sorted out Red/Tan. However, my choice was to buy a Red/Black, but, I found a 308 in excellent condition with 4 Weber carbs in Red/Tan. Having seen the blue GT4 that keeps popping up on eBay and Sammyb's blue 328, I really like the 308 in the right shade of blue. Of all the '32 Fords, woodies, Jag Mark10, Lincoln Cosmpolitan convertible, 37 Ford Cabrolet, '60 Corvette, '77 Maserati Khamsin, etc., my wife regrets me selling the 'blue '71 Rover 3500S. She just loves classy cars in specific shades of blue. However, she did encourage me to buy the 308 when we sold the Khamsin.
now that's very interesting. Years ago my dream car was a white Testarossa. I still like them, they're exotic and rare. I've never seen a white 308 but I can see it in my mind and it just isn't right. They look great in red, yellow, black, and blue... was white even offered as a stock color?
ok, well, after I posted that last response I saw the white 308 at the top of this page... it looks pretty dang good. Probably, unless you do something totally rude, like the poor yellow and black thing that started this thread, the 308 is just a sexy car no matter what color it is.
I realise it's probably a metallic, but in that picture it looks more like the colour they paint artificial limbs!
