I am in the midst of a major resoration of my 1964 330gt 2+2 sedan.
Obviously, I am interested in using the best gasket dressing/ sealant for the engine upon reassembly. Is there anything out there that works "Best" for the type 209 v-12 engine!!?
    Thanks

my preference is caff.2 Sealer (orange) from Ferrari, or if unobtainable caff.4 (black) from Maserati. Both are exellent, and require only a minimal amount, so no unsightly seepages.

I just tried Hylomar on my 1978 400GT when I pulled the valve covers. These are notorious for leaking, as mine were. Now, no leaks. They claim it never sets, and is impervious to fuel and oil, and that all F1 teams use it... I used the race car level stuff and will do so again. Just google "Hylomar".

Hylomar will work for a while but will probably start to leak (I used it for years on Jaguars).

Race engines get disassembled often (Hylomar comes apart easy) They don't have to seal for long.
