Ok, came across a 1996 355 GTS, red on tan with 35k miles. Last 30k service done in 2002, whats it worth? I do not believe the valve guides were ever replaced. NO challenge grill, NO aftermarket exhaust.

My guess is $65K minus the deferred value of a valve guide replacement. Call it $58K or so. And that's if everything else checks out and the last major is recent.

You are far more optimistic than I, dude. I am budgeting a $12K repair once those babies give in a yeart or two.

Last Major done in 2002, so it is due NOW. Seems like the guy selling it wont go below $65k for it. Now if only there was a record of the valve guides being done it would be tempting as I love the GTS.

If the guides were already replaced and everything else looked ok, I'd hold my price at about $62.5 which essentially splits the major down the middle.

I think $65k is a great price for the car if it shows a clean PPI - very surprised he doesn't want anymore for it..GTS are getting harder and harder to find...

If you give me the VIN I can tell you for sure but I think this is the car that was at Florida Auto Auction last month. It sold there for $54,000. Granted that is a dealer only auction but I would think the seller might take less if he picked it up for such a low price. I was the 2nd highest bidder but passed because I have too many toys at the moment. Without the VIN I can't confirm 100% this is the same one but color combo, miles, and geographic location make me think it's the one... Good luck with it!
