I have tickets for the Milwaukee Indy race tomorrow. It starts at 3:00 but the grandstands open at 11:00 am. Is it worth going early to look around some? I won't be able to get into the infield (I think). That is probably where the race cars will be. I think.

Yes, too bad it's not CART in the early 2000s. But yes going early is alot of fun.

went to richmond a few years ago. we had weekend all access passes. it was fun. saturday they had a bbq lunch with the drivers, met and spoke with castronevess, kannan and de ferraen. got in the pits and met roger penske. i was speaking to tony kannan on the starting grid. the level of access was remarkable compared to f1. the price was right too. everything was swell until the race started then i fell asleep.

I went to the Pre-show 1999 Molson Indy in Vancouver with my dad, it was quite an experience I wont forget it for a long time.

    Rodney,

Hopefully you decided to attend. The Mile is a fun place to see a race, since it's set in the fairground atmosphere that only Milwaukee can offer. I've been there several times, and we've always had a great time.

Went about an hour and a half before the race started. To get close we would have had to get into the infield. We were not in the infield. Was a great race. My man Tony Kannan went down to last on the lead lap half way thru the race and ended up winning. Slowly passed all in front of him except Castroneves who crashed a few laps from the finish from a broken rear wing. Both Penske cars broke their rear wings.
