Hey guys I've known for sometime that an in-law owns from what I understand to be the last "metal" body 308? Does this make sense? My understanding is it has under 1,000 miles on it and it has set for years and years. Not withstanding the obvious downside of the mechanicals and other components in current condition - would you offer to buy it? Is it worth resurrection? Can you give me a heads up on what "last metal body means?" Does this give it some intrinsic value?

    Thanks

The last metal 308 would be an 85 QV. The last glass 308 makes more sense. If the car has been sitting for years and years the kms on the odometer are of little value since you will spend a fortune to return it to usable condition.

And then after you've got the mechanicals brought back to life you wouldn't want to drive it because the odometer is the major attraction.

Find out what it really is, call TRutlands and ask what $ they'll give you for it, and then offer your in-laws $5K less ;)
