Ferrari Alarm PIN codes.........

The red is not required. With the pin the unit in the car can be reprogrammed to accept a new set of remotes.

After reprogramming it will no longer accept the old remotes.


The red is only required with the new set. It is the only one that transmits a signal that the reciever will learn. Once that signal is learned the blacks will work.

I just bought a 2002 360 and got all of the manuals (including the original sales contract, window sticker) and I checked that I also received the Radio code as well as the alarm PIN (which I did - the Alarm PIN was unopened, but now it's been opened). I scanned all these documents into electronic format so I could store them in a secure web-based vault to have as a back-up copy.

 

Good idea but if you are away from home and need the PIN your computer will be no help. Be sure you have it available.

 

It wouldn't be a problem. If I had access to the Internet or a telephone and could talk to someone with access to the Internet, I could get the Alarm Code. I could otherwise put it in a password protected part of my Blackberry I guess...

 

Can someone with experience tell me how much a new set of remotes cost? I have the alarm pin, so it's not a huge deal, but I only have one black wireless remote. Thanks

 

Thanks for your reply LetsJet. I won't worry about it because I have the pin code. Eventually I'll get a whole new set.

 

This may sound crazy...but it is ok to remove and replace the batteries if you have one black remote, right? I mean this IS Ferrari and many things that sound crazy end up being true...

I'm about to order a new set of alarm fobs for my 360 from my local Ferrari dealer. I am also down to "1" black remote. He said that it could take several months to get the new FOBs from Italy. Also, I do not have a PIN in any of my car paperwork and manuals. Can the dealer obtain the PIN from FNA, so the new remotes can by synchronized to the car's system?
