It will be 2 years next week and I can still sit in the garage and stare at it like I just bought it! It will never grow old for me!

I was bored after two years. It took four more years of malingering to actually sell my baby. I think the question should be, "Are you bored with Ferrari." I got bored with my car, but not with the marque. Having experienced the thrill of the mid-engine V-8, I'm ready to try out a front-mounted 12.

I'm bored with current models 430, 599, 612, find they lact the unique elegance of the 360, 456, 550 models. Looking at other marques now, just ordered Superleggera and considering Aston Martin/maserati.

I've had the car for eight years now. Ask me again in another eight years, but the answer will be the same...

    Excellent post, Cornerswell!

Although I have yet to fulfill my desire for a Ferrari factory race car, I understand your sentiments regarding street versus race cars. Not having been driving on a big track for a couple of years, I am itching to get back into it and assessing what I should do for a track car. Your post has helped me go back to my "baseline" of getting a more true race car instead of a compromised, modified street car to take to the track.

Secondly, I believe the racing community (not necessarily the highest levels where politics has a much larger role) is the ultimate in "gearheadedness" i.e. passion for motorsports. Memorable stories and great people, indeed...

With regards to street driving, traffic and speed limits has made it harder to enjoy the dynamic driving pleasures of Ferraris (and other sportscars for that matter). I, therefore, agree with you as well. However, I have to say that my Euro 308 QV has been fun to drive on old tires as I don't have to necassarily break speed limits to get to the car's limits. Also, my QV has still been a great driving experience and the pleasure I derive from driving and looking at it has not waned.

Conclusion: I'm not bored with my Ferrari. Keep the 308 QV and save/allocate funds for a track car (preferably a Ferrari as well).

Bored, no way, it's been a great time from Jan 2002 when I made the decision to search out and buy a 330 2+2 or 250 GTE...always wanted a Vintage 12 Ferrari, and haven't been disappointed...never enjoyed a car and the whole accompanying culture more.

Recent accident has pushed me into the next phase, restoration. When finished, I want to truck it out to the Cavallino Classic and do the whole thing...regular participation in that kind of event is out of my league financially, but I can manage it one time. There's bound to be some appreciation for a very nice Series I 330.

    Definitely,....

The 308 and Testarossa, I squeeze very bit of fun out of them already for 5 years... it's time for other models (no new dudes with higher rooftop like 360,430,599 pls)... the Dino, Daytona, 512BB... nothing available here.... sad and bored.... so, at the meantime, I just continue to squeeze some more fun from them... and everyday a different fun comes out of them....hahaha
