every now and then, when i go to start my 328, i just get a clicking noise when i turn the key...if i keep trying, eventually it will start normally...is this an ignition switch problem, or a solonoid?

    I know, sounds like both.

Check out the threads on no or hot start problems for this and 348.

    Might help

It might be bad/dirty starter motor brushes or where they contact in the starter motor. If the starter turns the motor over at normal speed when it does crank that would eliminate a weak battery. I would check for loose connections at the solenoid and starter motor to begin troubleshooting.
