Best of luck with the car, sounds like a good choice. Personally, I love the strong yellow but I had it on a 1978 Fiesta in college so I am used to it. It will definitely get you noticed, and face it, even if you are an understated kind of guy, you want people to notice your F-car.

As for the age, in 2003 I raced (ok, autocrossed) a 1988 Golf. It was the oldest car in the entire club. Not only did it win the championship in B Stock, but on one memorable occasion, when I was bumped to A Stock, shaded the S2000 Hondas for an unlikely win. Rear tire wear was minimal, as I only used one at a time:

Nice picture! Like I said, the yellow isn't so bad. I'm sure buy the time it comes back I won't even notice.

You only live once and some people don't even do that. Take it to the track and drive the hell out of it!

I just got the call and the car is back in town.

I'm told I have an email coming with a summary of the PPI and I'm to call the gent who oversaw the PPI {a friend of mine} after I read the email.

I'm anxious to say the least!
