Vesper, huh? Is it because of the bitter after taste??? Or is it because once you've had one it's all you want to drink!!! ;)

argento, the pic of your aston and the spit are my new desk top!

    talk about two bespoke machines!!!!!!

not much better than a "proper" aston. thank you for continuing to share the pics. i think it is obvious why we boxer owners love the real vantage so much as like the boxer, it really is aston's last great one too.

    Argento,

That Royal Cherry is fantastic! I had an 89 Vantage convert -US Spec, though :( and loved it. However, the coupes have much more classic lines IMHO.

    Enjoy it!

Your third pic is MAGIC! You would have had to carry me away...The DB4, 5, &6's are my favorites...

The vanquish S is a great car, and the last of its kind. The DB7 body will go down in history as a classic. The color combo you have is great :) Please indulge yourself in the awesome power of the S if possible :) good luck with the purchase

Best looking Aston ever, much more imposing than the DB9, so much road presence. They have however received terrible press about the transmission! If it had a manual it would be perfect. I have never driven one and maybe never will but I have sat in one, and was in awe of the car. truly beautiful.

I know what you mean about the transmission 'bad press' I too suffered from believing it Steve, but having sampled it for a reasonable length of time, I can tell you the tales of woe are grossly wrong, it would seem most owners are ok with it too, The factory has only sold 60 odd of the hugely expensive, (£15k), Manual conversions so far...

Hi Argento I know there are a couple of Vanquish and Vanquish S owners on the board but can't remember their ID's at the mo'.

Hi Argento: Royal Cherry would look right at home on a Phantom V model. Your AM looks very elegant in that shade. How much more is an AM Zagato 1986 coupe than your AM? It has it's quirks but the Zagato was a very forward design for an AM at the time. As you are the numbers guy, is the first Vanquish; green on tan still around or did AM sell it on after the show circuit? Thanks

CH - A V8 Zagato go for around $200k depending on condition, My Vantage is probably around the $130-$150k mark...The 1st Vanquish, (Brooklands Green & Sandstone), is still owned by AM Works Service, along with the very last Ultimate Edition Vanquish completed on the 15th July 2007.

Thank you for the detailed answers Argento. Would expect nothing less from a 'numbers' guy! Nice that AM has an eye on the past when they retain that pair of Vanquish models. The green/tan is an especially pleasing combination when red/tan seems to dominate around here...

There is another option that I hadn't considered before today...A DB7 GT Zagato, Same 6.0 V12 mixed with Italian design & style, some rarity factor and best of all it's still an Aston !

    Vanquish S V's DB7 GTZ ....

Opinions please...Little to choose in price.
