I'll be there Sunday, will say hi! Will P4/5 be going up the hill or in the Cartier Style et Luxe? Paul
Booked FOS on Monday, looking forward to it, should be interesting to see the P4/5. And do some photography of course! Sort of Off-Topic: anyone know if Ferrari are doing anything special this year thats worth speaking to them in advance?
I will be there on the saturday. i look forward to seeing the car in the flesh and will hopefully say hello. Edward.
Lewis I don't think so, the FOS clashes with the Celebrations at Fiorano and Ferrari GB are heading there (me too ). I guess they saw the Silverstone Weekend just gone as their UK event Jim Enjoy your time at Goodwood, I shall look forward to the pics
I'm with Mark (I think), waiting for final confirmation tomorrow. Shame, because it will be the first FOS I have not attended. But the draw of Maranello is too strong I would have loved to have seen your car Jim.
Hey Jim, can't wait to see the P4/5 storm the hill. I'll be there for the first time, covering the event for Autoblog.com and a couple of other sites. I've managed to convince the editor that I need at least ten days to soak up all the UK has to offer. So far we have visits to a couple of factories and museums arranged, but if anyone else has some suggestions or inside info on must-visit automotive attractions, please PM me. Oh, BTW: 60 Years of Ferrari: To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Italian marque, there will be a special display in the Goodwood stable yard (close to the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ featuring Ferrari’s latest road-going supercars alongside a selection of older Ferrari road cars. On the hillclimb will be a range of Ferrari sports-racing cars including the 375MM of the 1950s together with the famous Testa Rossa and 250 GTO, as well as the distinctive 365 GTB ‘Daytona’ and 512BB Le Mans car plus the mighty 712 CanAm car. Grand Prix cars include everything from the earliest Ferrari 125 to one of the recent ex-Schumacher cars, brought courtesy of the factory team, as well as the last front-engined 246 Dino, an ex-Lauda 312T, a beautiful tangled-exhaust 312/68 and the fantastic-sounding F1-2000 in which Michael Schumacher took Ferrari’s first world title for 21 seasons.
Excellent!!, i shall definately come over and say hello vectorfiles. Are you on a single display or with a bunch of other display cars?
I will not make it over to Goodwood. But the W8 will be on display alongside the Blue Flame, both from the www.technik-museum.de .
I will drive my first Ferrari (550) there from Holland, which I will pick up next week. I'm very excited about both the car and the event, which I've been meaning to go to for many a year! Jim, you have a breathtaking car and I can't wait to see it. It was actually your post that alerted me to the fact that I could make it to this event (I was going to be away on business), so many thanks - I would've missed it for sure otherwise. If I happen to run into you, I'd be priviledged to say "hi!", and if I don't I wish you a very special time there. Onno
Be safe Mr. G.......but that said: "Let it all hang out!!!!! Go, man go!!!!" I'd jump in to balance the car.....LOL! Too bad about Frank4cars, if he shows up, tell him we are thinking about him.
Thanks. I'm heading to the airport in a little bit. Tomorrow night we'll be at a black tie dinner and then for the event I'll be based in the Kinrara enclosure. If any of you happens to be near there during the weekend, come over and say hello. Frank
