Don't know. I have lost track of a lot of the cars since leaving in 2003. Check with Carbon McCoy, I bet he knows where it is.
Well, Carbon doesn't have access to FML archives anymore, but maybe he has kept up on the F50's like the Enzo's.
I didn't know he was no longer with FML. I told you I had lost track since getting out of the car business.....
Looking at the pic with the red Maserati, was the Azzuro a "targa"? It doesn't appear to have a roof on.
I was at the Ferrari World Challenge at Texas World Spreedway in 1996 or 1995 when they delivered the yellow F50 to Paul Frame. From what I remember , he drove anyone around that track that wanted to go for a ride. I remember being impressed with how nice he was showing the kids that were there the car and letting them sit in it for pictures. Never met the guy but memories of his generosity and friendliness bring a smile to my face. I also remember he was a heck of a driver.
Rick, All F50 have a removable top that is stored in a case that came with the car. It is a cool system. The car with the top removed is, at least to me, very good looking....... Image Unavailable, Please Login
December 2 and 3, 1995. It was the North American premiere of the F50. Fermin Velez was there to drive the F1 car, the 333SP. Paul also drove in the Challenge series and did pretty well. He did not drive in all the races, just select ones. Did you see the line he took into turn one. Everyone else came in low and drifted outside. He came down the main straight high and waited until the last second and cut inside. Man he carried that corner fast......
Wow, I feel like such a dumbass right now. I never knew that, and I've admired this car for 12 years, now. :smack: No wonder I haven't seen one since the Azurro in the U.S. I am not worthy.
Paul's cars were repainted from street use and sold on by FoH, when he had his "little problem" down here.... Well, there were SEVERAL problems, actually..... I have a faded signed pic of Ms. Rockwear from that TWS event and several of the posters of Mr. Frame with his 348C.... Available at the right price!
Yes they do. I really miss the involvement of being with the Ferrari crowd and the excitement of race season, all kinds, F1, Challenge and GT2. In the middle of the night in a 24 hour race it may seem like it would drag but a lot can happen then when someone is wanting to make a move and not just hold position through the night.....
Tony Zarcone (sp) left Classic Ferrari sometime in the mid 1990's to pursue other interests, I'm not sure where he is now but does anyone remember the Jeep pick-up he used to drive to work?
I believe he is talking about Tony Nevotti. Tony Nevotti left Ferrari back in 2004 and opened his own import store. He has moved from there to Putnam Leasing. Last I heard Tony Zarcone had moved to Colorado......
Don't know which Tony, but was interested in a sales guy name 'Tony' who was working at the facility on 75 way back in 1987-ish. Which guy would that have been ??
That kid in the grey shirt is really really ridiculously handsome.... I enjoyed my days a FoD so well. Being 19 and getting paid to work with Ferraris was incredible, especially considering that I visited it as a kid as often as possible. McAbee gave me the cold shoulder and stare the first few times but after eventually buying almost the entire catalogue of Ferrari posters he was a pretty nice fellow. I still have to say my favorite project during that time was taking an entire Saturday to detail every square inch of that red F40, engine included. Such an amazing machine. Okay, since you got that so easily done, who did it belong to??????? And what was special about it????
I remember having to have Steve Smith out there with you so you and Janie did not try to take it out for a joyride.....for a few days ;>)
No need to worry about that.... ;0 I was showing Steve the "repair kit" on the Lotus: a single fuse scotch taped to the frame!
If its the Rosso Fiorano 456GT I'm thinking of, then it belonged to the wife of the very VIP client here in town. His 250GT California and 550 Barchetta has the same ext/int combo. I'm probably way off.
Nope, Nice try though. Blue Nart/Beige. Any other guesses??? Hint: He had huge closets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
