I'm finishing up the restoration on my '84 308 and need a little help.
How do I set the connecting arm onto the headlight motor and the headlight housing? Are there limiters that I have to set before I connect the arm to the two pieces or do the headlight motors work like the window motors and stop when under resistance?
I'm hoping that all I have to do is replace the rubber bumpers/stops then align the housings to the body. then connect the arm, then the housing would stop when it hits either the upper or lower rubber bumper/stop.
Am I going to be that lucky or do I have to dial in the motor and arm before I touch the headlight switch?
    Thanks for your help...

Lou, the best thing to do is to electrically connect the motor and not the arm, and then power it up and see what happens :)

What SHOULD happen is that the shaft that the arm connects to will only turn 180 degrees then stop. When the lights are turned off, it should turn another 180. By powering the motor without the arm connected, it will verify that it is in the correct "starting" position.

Thanks David. That'll be this weekends project right after the LA Roadsters Father Day Show. Thanks again...
