I've been feeling this as well.

 

I'm currently working for an on-line company that sells AT&T products & services as well as other wireless carriers. I don't know even if we are going to get the iphone at the laugh date, maybe after all the hype dies down but I really think the media has set many consumers expectations very high with this product, lets see how well it does in one month or two.

 

This phone WILL sell out. If not because of regular consumers wanting it, then by "resellers" who are looking to profit from it.

 

Like the PS3?

-its locked to cingular
-you have to pay contract cancel fee.

In regards to stocks, investors have already priced the future, anticipated returns and future successes of the products into the current stock price. They have access to the same or better information than you do. The stock has had a run-up in price the last few months (around 30%+/- since last January), as well as the last few years (1600% like mentioned earlier).
