    my real question is whats wrong with his parents... they have to realize that their kid is so screwed up in every way possible besides maybe spelling and some other book smarts. It is sad. I bet that kid doesnt know 5 kids his own age.

    Does anyone else think that spelling bee competitions are horrible? My SO met one of the past winners (pretty well known, she was even parodied on South Park), and she said herself that spelling bees are not in the best interests of the child. Princeton grad, and now getting her PhD, but socially awkward!!
