Going straight to Hell on that one, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and no 'Get out of Hell card" accepted.
Our Enzo, who art in Heaven Hallowed be thy exhaust music Thy 30k service come Thy will be done, in Modena as it is in Heaven Give us this day, our daily 93-octane And forgive us our traffic tickets, as we forgive those who honk their horns against us And lead us not into street racing But deliver us from Mustangs Amen
If I'm going to hell if and when I partake in Ferrari ownership then sign me up! 599 Pentagram wheels makes baby jesus cry. Let's see how well most fare against the good lord: 1. "I am the LORD your God. You shall have no other gods before Me..." If Enzo is your god you're going to hell. 2."You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it." If you idolize and/or worship Ferrari's you're gonna burn in hell. 3."You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God." Everytime you shout goddamnit! While you're driving and or fixing a Ferrari means you will end up in hell. 6."You must not kill" Fatal road accidents will put you in hell. 7."You must not commit adultery" It's ok to let fine ladies ride in your Ferrari. Letting them ride you means hell. 8."You must not steal." If funds for your Ferrari came at the expense of others you shall burn in hell. 9."You must not bear false witness" Pretending your Ferrari is a Fiero or vice versa will surely condemn you to hell. 10."You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." Owner envy reserves non owners a ticket to hell. Follow these simple rules and you too can enjoy sinless Ferrari ownership and ensure your place in the heavens. Satirical purposes only mmmkay?
ROFLMAO!!!!! I love this thread! Deliver us from Mustangs! Hilarious!! I move that all Fchatters be canonised. Afterall, driving an Fcar is a heavenly experience. I'll start: St. BigTex: Patron saint of 308GTB's
Can you imagine God behind the wheel of an F40, heel n toeing flawlessly through the gears, following the perfect line. Wow! You can't tell me he hasn't tried it. One off topic note though, Chris Bangles cars look like hell, driving one of thoese might just be a sin.
its a question of balance, Ferraris are art and history and speed but people who dont know squat about them only see narcisistic posers which annoys me Real Ferrari people are not 100% obsessed with their cars to the detriment of the rest of their lives I know a lot of Ferrari people who do a lot for charities, like the Christmas Toy Run the FL guys ran for kids w no toys or the Hartford run to help hospitalized kids or guys who help Make A Wish This all balances out the ownership of expensive artworks
Agreed, Last year, our local club saw thousands of dollars going to Nevada Diabetes assoc, along with 2 christmas toy drives that had no less than 20 cars, filled to the brim plus a few trucks!! This is one out of hundreds of car clubs around the country doing our part to give back! BTW, the last time I checked, the Vatican wasn't exactly poor.....
In this life, there are only two things to worry about, Whether you have got your Ferrari or whether you haven't. If you haven't got a Ferrari there's nothing to worry about, just travel in hope and keep saving, it is better to arrive. If you have got your Ferrari you have only got two things to worry about, Whether you are going to prang it or whether you are not. If you are not going to prang it, there's nothing to worry about, If you are going to prang it, you have only got two things to worry about, Whether you are going to live or whether you are going to die. If you are going to live, there's nothing to worry about. If you are going to die, you have only got two things to worry about Whether you are going to Heaven or whether you are going to Hell. If you are going to Heaven, there's nothing to worry about. If you are going to Hell there's still nothing to worry about, You are going to be so busy shaking hands with all your old pals and talking about your Ferraris, you just won't notice the flames. Martin There is only one way to deal with temptation and that is to yeild to it (Wilde)
I read the Reuters story... and it was not actually the Pope, but the Vatican came out with directives about using material things to puff your self up, or to use them to make other fee inferior... that's the sin part. I think the Pope understands beauty.... he is surrounded by it at the Vatican.
The Christian, Catholic and or Biblical work ethic is to do your best with the gifts God gave you. If God gave Mr. Ferrari that ability (and he believed that God did) and the devine providence to succeed at it, why would owning one in and of itself be a sin? I dont believe God intended for us all to walk the world barefooted dressed in sackcloth. Where did everyone get the idea that cars had to be simple mundane piles of crap for basic transportation? Didnt the camel drivers of milleniums ago dress themselves and their camels and tents in fine linens and woods and metals? But flashing your possesions at people saying "looky what I got", being a jerk to people, driving around showing off, worshiping it, thats where the trouble lies. Yeah, there are starving people in the world who wouldnt even know what one is. Should we all burn our cars to the ground in shame? I cant stop the people of the world from starving, killing themselves, or trying to kill us. I can only make small contributions to the world. Anyway, I consider it an honor to have not one, but two of his cars in my garage, and thank God each and every day for my blessings. PS. I also dont feel its a sin to rev it plus 7000 rpm in third or fourth gear once in a while when the road is clear. It would be a greater sin NOT to

I think it's a sin for any sports car enthusiast, to go a lifetime without knowing what it's like to own and drive a Ferrari.
