Cicada - I don't have that nice of a car either, but valets will never get my keys. I will walk five miles before giving my keys to a valet. I've seen things first hand, and heard numerous nightmare accounts of valets (just look at this thread!). It does not matter how nice of a place it is. Not even the Four Seasons! It just ain't happening.

Next time, step up to the plate, make an issue of it. Get the manager out there. Most valets are a hired company separate from the restaurant, but they are on the restaurant's property.

Or worse, like getting busted upside the head.

dromer, what you did is no different than pimple-faced jerks spitting in the burgers at the drive-thru.

Twenty-seven years ago the ZR-1 Corvette had a "Valet Mode" which limited HP from 375 to 250. You'd think that all Exotics and high dollar cars would have the same today.

So you hear the car SCREAMING down the street, how many of those five or so miles do you think they had your engine at redline? What if next week you start to develop a new oil leak? I would have put the FEAR in that SOB....you must have some gift for forgiveness.

I'm not saying you should get physically confrontational at all, but next time call the Police to take care of the criminals, that's why you pay our taxes. I think that valets actions may have been criminal, ie. joyriding.
