hey , dont pick on Steve.for any a holes busting on someone because he helped a friend out for a couple days. I only wish I had more friends like him , to offer help without nothing expected in return...and of course if he needed a favor id gladly help him.

I spent an hour drooling at all these cars the other day. Richard showed me the engine from the 348 that is on the lift and the valve work that they were doing to it. There was so much enthusiasm and passion in his voice. It sounds crazy, but I can't wait to spend the 6-8k to get my 30k done with them when I go on vacation at the end of august. They even repaint the valve covers as part of the service!

The 2 abarths were also very sweet... they seem to be going for 130-140K euro's on european ebay

That 348 is my car. The car overheated and as a result needs new head gasket's!!! F&%K! I just put a new clutch in it a week before.

 

Bummer! Richard told me about that. If it is any consolation they seem to want to make it better than new

BTW, how did it overheat? Is that something I need to worry about? I'm new to my car....

I did the 30k last season. Everything seemed fine. Then one day while driving to the FCA meet at Reston I got about 2 miles when it ran way over 195 degrees and I came to a stop on I270. I let it sit for awhile first and then restarted the car and limped home.I found that my drivers side fan was not working and coolant was trying to make it's way out of the hose connection's.They were crusty . I had it towed the next day.
My car only has 29k miles on it.
