I love the HDR look but yeah those pics don't look right at all.... not sure if that's the intended effect, but it just looks like the saturation has been blown out. Big fan of these pics though: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/cambridge-gallery.htm -R
Are you running the tone mapping after you generate them? Generate the HDR's then go to HDR > Tone Mapping and they'll look better
I like teak's pic. Some of these newer ones are just looking too unrealistic. I thought this was nice : Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, in that case try playing around with the settings more, because that is far from what a good HRD photo should come out as! The colours and lighting are totally off.
Yes...for example in this pic i generate the HDR and then the tone mapping...the strength is in 92..color saturation-72...light smoothing is in -2...luminosity is in 0...microcontrast is in 2....micro-smoothing-2...white-clip-.250%...black-clip-0...gamma-1...any ideas of how could it looks better..?? I'm not trying to criticize you, but compare these HDR photos to yours and tell me you see the difference. PS-these are NOT mine. I wasn't trying to insult you at all, so please don't take it personal. The files from my camera aren't .raw. files, so I can't really do HDR processing, but I'll give it a shot and see what happens. My camera takes 72 pixels per inch .jpg files, they suck for post processing. See the pictures posted above, and compare them to yours. You'll see the difference. You're look almost cartoonish, while the pictures above have this insanely pleasing color and depth to them.
Here, this was my processing of a single photo. It's not done properly, as you really need multiple photos taking with different exposure times, but it's a before and after of what I came up with. The picture is copyright 2006 Randy Wright Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well my pictures were not in RAW i take´em with a Sony W-50 it is a little bit complicated but i still like to do it...and okay i forgive you is just that i think that you were insulting me...
It shouldn't make any difference in post processing. It only matters at the stage of printing. My camera's default setting is 72ppi too.
