I just ran across a 85 308 on e-bay with a gauge pod to the left of the main gauge cluster. Has anyone seen this before, are they still available?

I can't see either my fuel or water temp gauges now because of my height and steering wheel position, this may be the answer

Thats got to be custom made, I don't think that's original but it looks nice though.

I'd think the same thing. These days a good car stereo shop could make you one of those, probably pretty reasonably.

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to make, not sure what other instruments I would add, but I do like it!

My boost comes from driving the car, I would put water temp and fuel level there, and find something I didn't need to see to often, or ever in the top of the main cluster

Actually, I know it's not original but I was thinking of replacing my clock for a Volt meter since the clock isn't that important anyway, what do you guys think?

That looks very, very good. Great that your considering adding a voltmeter. Here was my install in a 328:

However, if I had two gauges to add (e.g., add an EGT gauge), I would do something like this. I mean, what's pictured there looks clean as stock. Nice.

Edit: In the 328, that gauge pod would cover up the driver's side tweeter (high frequency speaker).

What's that on the RIGHT Side of the car on top of the dash? Looks like a GPS device (like a Garmin deal). If so, I wonder what it's hooked into? I don't see a Nav screen in the car.
