It’s been a long day and I’m getting tired of been **** on every time I buy something for my Ferrari or Diablo.

I brought my 348 in for an inspection because I had some wobble on the right front tire. My mechanic said I need upper and lower ball joints so I bought them from Ricambi.

The next night I thought I would do it myself so I remove the right front tire and the problem was the bolts for the ball joints were lose. I tighten them up and everything was fine. The new parts arrived so I e-mailed Ricambi that I don’t need them any more and would like to return them. They haven’t even been removed out of the original shipping box. I’m told that the part are not returnable and I should take it up with my mechanic. It will be the last time I will bring any of my cars to him and will start looking for a new trusting mechanic but I don’t see why I can’t return something that wasn’t ever opened. What’s up with that. I think I’ll go back to buying from the dealer, it might cost more but at least they take returns.

understand your point, but I suspect this is a liability issue and Ricambi can answer better for that fact.

afterall would you want to have returned handling issue items and come to find out they were swapped, or something worse? I believe not. ebay, someone will hear your story and perhaps buy or someone on this ferrari ads area.

That was exactly my problem too!!! Those pesky cheap bolts were loose so I removed them cleaned them up and put them back on with loc-tite :)! They have behaved ever since ;)...
Sorry to hear about the non-return issue :(......

I have returned stuff to Ricambi before. Daniel is really good about giving credit on returns.

As above it may have to do with the specific part and/or some liability issue.

Maybe give Daniel a call and talk to him in person!

If you want to speak out - I'd say it's your mechanic's fault. What kind of mechanic wouldn't notice some loose bolts???

Ricambi is awesome. always upfront and honest. great people.

maybe they had to order the parts specifically from Ferrari for you, and now, you want to return them and it'll be stuck in their inventory becuz they won't be able to return them for credit from who they purchased them from

    just a maybe

that would not be fair to them

Hey Joe I would agree on that one and with everyone else if I opened the box. But it is still in the original Fedex box it was delivered in. Untuched with the invoice still stuck to the top of the box un opened.

May be I'll give them a call like it was suggested and see whats up and why. I hate e-mails.

Consider yourself fortunate. For the price of a few parts you learned that your mechanic is a hack.
